Yeah, I know, but That's What Friends Are For is technically credited to Dionne & Friends, not Elton John, so I'd called 'em on it! All right, 4.5 then. It's actually 4.333 to be exact!

Since Gary mentioned it here, I'll do it as well. He said that The Captain & Tennille had the biggest hit by a married duo. Since C & T have divorced, who has that honor now? In a way this still counts - they were of course married when it hit, that they're not now is arguably a moot point. Otherwise, what hits are there, if any, by couples who are married now but not then? Beyoncé & Jay-Z - Crazy In Love.

Well, true to form, my listernship for the special on Sunday was all over the road. Sunday was my most listened to day since we started to stream on 1/29/15. My home town of Watertown wasn't even in the top 10 cities listening! Here's the top 10 cities tuning in to hear Gary Owens. ... now, on with the countdown!
10. Traverse City 9. Los Angeles 8. Albany 7. Indianapolis 6. New York 5. Seattle 4. Raleigh 3. Joplin-Pittsburg, KS 2. Monterey 1. Austin

^Cool. The cities that I have called home in my life are listed, Albany then and Raleigh now. On a related note, Albany just had their 2nd coldest February on record while Raleigh had their 4th coldest February on record.

Bob Eubanks is a name that's well known to devotees of classic game shows-He was the original host of "The Newlywed Game" & "Card Sharks"-He filled in for Casey on both "AT40" & "America's Top 10" in 1982.

Thanks again Mike & WODC for a great Sunday night special! I second that...I wish there were more Mike Eilands out there who were as enthusiastic about the classic shows and in a position to make days like yesterday happen with both the 70's show and the Gary Owens tribute. Keep up the good work Mike! It's definitely appreciated here...

At some point on AT10 or AT20, Casey did a story on how Ben Watt and Tracy Thorn of Everything But The Girl had secretly gotten married. I don't know if this was before or after early 1996 when they hit #1 with "Missing," which went on to become the #1 song of the year.

I love the cities list, Ken. With that kind of listenership it's sort of like syndicating the show yourself, if that makes any sense. A lot of ears from many places were listening to one source for the show. It definitely was a special listen. I had a few laugh-out-loud moments with those quick quips!

thx mrjukebox, matt and BrettVW for the fine comments. If it weren't for you folks here with all this information, WODC would have missed the chance to be a part of this one! So thank you for that!

Thank you statenislandfan! Ken rocked it with a sweet time slot. I relaxed with coffee and pie to WODC's Sunday night as well, while there was a mountain of fresh snow to look at outside the window!

On a related note, Albany just had their 2nd coldest February on record while Raleigh had their 4th coldest February on record. The Albany part of the stream listening included me -- and yes, it's really been a lousy cold winter here, and I'd gladly take Raleigh's 4th coldest February over Albany's 2nd.

Though Hartford, CT is not on the list, it was the coldest winter month ever since weather information started the statistics in 1905 and remembering the great blizzard of 1888.

I would like to thank "countdownmike" and "bestmusicexpert" (and anyone else I am missing) for playing the Gary Owens special on their respective stations. It was a lot of fun to listen!
