A long show today--ended at 4:50 pm EST. It featured a couple of cuts from a new album by Billy Davis, Jr., and his wife, Marilyn McCoo, members of the Fifth Dimension. The album is a tribute to songs by Paul McCartney and John Lennon. Next week, Dave takes by back to 1968. Most likely date of the countdown will be 6-29-68. The #1 record that week was "This Guy's In Love With You" by Herb Alpert.

Next week is a special program--The Top 5 songs of each July during the 1960s. Some of the hits will be: I'm Sorry, Quarter to Three, Roses Are Red, Surf City, Rag Doll, Satisfaction, Hanky Panky, Windy, This Guy's In Love With You and In the Year 2525. Those are all the songs that were #1 in July, plus another 40 of course!
