Great show as always from Dave "in his Dave cave high in the vaults of Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania." Show had a big variety of music, with about 1/2 being British hits. Next week is 1965, and likely survey date to be 5-29-65.

Expect more British Invasion classics on next week's countdown. Earlier in May 1965, nine of the Top 10 were by the Brits. Only Gary Lewis and the Playsboys were the non-British act. An American group will be #1 on the next survey if it is in fact 5-29-65, that being "Help Me Rhona" by the Beach Boys.

Well my famous typo was indeed #1 on the 5-29-65 survey date. Next week is the Top 100 end of Spring songs, a listener voted countdown. I really wish that Dave would announce this weeks before as I don't know where to look for the voting candidates! Anyway, that is next weekend's show. It starts at Noon, and will be shared by other DJs. Enjoy.

My guess for the week featured? Probably June 7.

This week's survey,as already noted, will be from June 1969-The # 1 song was "Get Back" by The Beatles-It was recorded in January 1969 on the rooftop of Apple Records-The keyboard player was Billy Preston & he even received label credit-The flip side was "Don't Let Me Down" which also received a smattering of airplay.

Also, "Get Back" is the only Beatles record that mentions another artist--being Billy Preston.

Tossed between 6-7-69 and 6-14-69. If #40 is April Fools by Dionne Warwick it is 6-7-69, and if it's Special Delivery by the 1910 Fruitgum Company, then it's 6-14-69. Sometimes Dave is unpredictable as to the week he uses.

Longer show today--songs were getting longer in 1969! The show was from 6-7-69. Show ended at 4:45 pm EST. Next week is 1960, and date likely is 6-13-60. #1 song "Cathy's Clown" by the Everly Brothers.
