Dave did explain that due to a "logistics" problem, the R&B and Motown special was not aired as planned. He did say that hopefully it would be Saturday, 2-25-23. He did state Sam Moore of Sam and Dave would be a co-host. If it includes Motown, #1 will likely be "I Heard It Through The Grapevine."

The "Black History Month Top 50 Soul Hits" is still listed as scheduled for this weekend. (By this time last week the 1963 show was being listed.) 70s on 7 is also playing a Black History top 50 countdown of that decades top soul/R&B hits. And they're not pre-empting Casey's AT40 for it.

Don't want to give it away, but the #1 record was predictable. Hint: 4 weeks at #1 late Winter to Early Spring 1968. Interestingly, it only reached #3 on Cashbox Survey, and Joe Cantello will immediately know the song!

Also the biggest song of 1960, and tied with "Hey Jude" for the biggest song of the 1960's.

Dave just started the 1960 Satellite Survey from 3-7-60. This will be a very short show, since most of the records were under 3 minutes.

As I predicted, very short indeed, ending at 4:08 EST. Next week is 1965, and the likely date of the survey is 3-20-65, when "Eight Days A Week" was #1. It will also have a significant number of British hits, as this was the second year of the British Invasion. On May 8, 1965, 9 out of the Top 10 would be British hits. Gary Lewis and the Playboys would have the only non-British hit with "Count Me In."

Survey date was 3-20-65. Next week will be 1969, as the Turtles have crawled (get my attempt at humor?) out of the Top 40. The first week "You Showed Me How" is off the Top 40 is 3-29-69, likely date of the show.
