I believe the Turtles dispute was settled over the summer. I think you're right on that. However I think the 60's Gold "ban" on playing songs by the Turtles is still going on.

It did seem very strange on the Top 300 Autumn Songs of the 60's that I did not recall a single Turtles song. They had "Do You Know What I Mean" and "She's My Girl in the 1967 and "Elenore" in Fall, 1968, which all three should have been in the Countdown.
Does anyone know if the Top 300 are featured on any site. I also noticed that the new 60's Gold does not have the "Recently Played" feature that was available when it was 60's on 6. I really miss that feature.
Lastly, any word on Saturday's countdown. As I mentioned previously, 1968 should be up for rotation, however, if the Turtles will not be played, that will wait until later in December. I notice that when the Turtles can't be played, Dave tends to go with the first week they are off the Top 40, and thus, a repeat show.

The two possible dates Dave could do for December 1968 would either be 12/14 or 12/21.

"Good Vibrations" by The Beach Boys was # 1 this week in 1966-Ten years later,Todd Rundgren did a fine remake which you can see on You Tube.

Speaking of "Good Vibrations," the Beach Boys took 22 years to have their next #1--"Kokomo." That broke the record from the previous year when Aretha Franklin took 20 years between "Respect" and duet with George Michael "I Knew You Were Waiting For Me."

Talk about a long show today--live on East Coast, and the show ended at 4:43 EST. Songs were longer in 1968, and two notables were Hey Jude and Those Were The Days. Next week will be the Top 50 December hits of the 60's.

I wonder if the 60's Satellite Survey will be taking a two week vacation 12/25/21 & 1/1/22.

Maybe Sirius XM may have a special during those weekends. Dave should hopefully let us know something next week.
