We had a good run of 1960 - 1967 (in order, with a few 'specials' sprinkled in.) Now we go back to 1960? That's cool, but leaves 1968-1969 unplayed for a long period. (Is that because of the Turtles ban, STILL?) Actually, a 1968 countdown was just played during the second weekend of June. The next Turtles song for that year doesn't kick in until October, so I'm pretty sure they'll feature 1968 once more before then. As for 1969, the coast is clear of Turtles for the rest of the year. "You Showed Me" was their last Top 40 hit and it dropped out in late March of that year.

Today featured 7-25-60, and talk about a fast show. I am in the East, and the show ended at 4:07. It had lots of extras, and still was slightly over 2 hours. Next week will feature 1969, so Dave is not going in chronological year order this round. Show most likely will feature the chart of 8-2-69.

I hope they play 8-9-69 instead, although it would be slightly out of sync with next weekend's date. They just featured 8-2-69 last year. (I remember I submitted a partial chart critique of that countdown on this thread.)

47 songs and some commentary from Dave and still only 2 hours and 7 minutes! This can only happen in the first half of the 60's.
