Has any artist hit the top 40 with the same song both as a solo artist and as a member of a group? Shadoe says "not quite." But there was one instance of a solo artist providing guest vocals to a remake of his hit, "The Twist" by The Fat Boys featured Chubby Checker when it hit #16 in 1988.
