Effective 10/5 my home station KABG now airs the program 10am-1pm EDT Sundays. Thanks for letting us know.At 8PM EST I went to listen to KABG on TuneIn and AT 40 wasn't on.I went to the KABG website and didn't see anything about the show on there so I thought that the station had dropped it.

Calling attention to the fact that Hits 100 Aruba, a longtime affiliate of the Premiere "AT40: The 80s" rebroadcasts, has played the week's 70s show instead of the 80s show the past two Saturday mornings (September 27th and October 4th), beginning at 11:00 am Eastern time!... We'll need to monitor that station's airplay this weekend to see if that trend continues, and to see whether they still have a Sunday 5:00 pm Eastern time rebroadcast, and whether it's the 70s show or the 80s show which airs at that time (there's some evidence that the 80s show is airing at 8:00 pm Eastern time on Sunday, leaving the possibility that the 70s show is airing at 5:00 pm Eastern time)...

Effective 10/5 my home station KABG now airs the program 10am-1pm EDT Sundays. I've been listening to KABG today 10/12/14 to affirm everything is still up to snuff. Despite a few hiccups, the stream sounds pretty solid. I formatted an updated listing to provide a current link to the station and the stream. The media player was outdated along with the timeslot. You provided some really important information. Well done! WTIX 94.3 FM stereo Nawlins = New Orleans is carrying AT-40 70s Sunday 11am Eastern. Heard the show this morning and the stereo sound is great. WTIX calls are legendary in the Crescent City and surrounding Wards. wtixfm.com/

HITS 100.9 FM Stereo Aruba www.hits100.fmTheir website sez: AT-40 70s - Saturday 11am Eastern and Tuesday 9pm Eastern. AT-40 80s - Sunday 5pm Eastern and Wednesday 9pm Eastern. (First off, welcome to this forum! ) Yes, I've since seen that notice at the bottom of their main page; I've talked about it a bit on the (current) '80's station list thread... The mid-week '80's replay might be on Thursdays rather than Wednesdays, though; translation of "Diahubs" on the Hits 100 Web site has proved problematic!... Also, if we assume the listed times are local times, Aruba is in the Eastern time zone but does not observe Daylight Saving Time, so their clocks are right now an hour behind Eastern time (but will be the same beginning the first Sunday of November)...
In spite of this, they have been playing the '70's show beginning at 11:00 am Eastern time on Saturdays, when their clocks are showing 10:00 am!!!...(And they've been all over the map on Sundays, starting the '80's show at 8 pm Eastern on October 5th, and at 4 pm Eastern today, when their Web site says 5 pm local time , or 6 pm Eastern Daylight Time!...) Hits 100 Aruba will need some serious monitoring to nail down its programming for both the '70's and '80's shows -- here's looking ahead to what they play, and when, in the middle of the week!... (By the way, for the '70's shows, the Hits 100 Web site lists the Tuesday airing before the Saturday airing -- could that mean that it's a sneak preview for the following week rather than an encore of the previous week???...) EDITS TO ABOVE: Removed commentary based on incorrect assumptions about local time in Aruba -- Aruba actually follows Atlantic Standard Time year-round, which is the same as Eastern Daylight Time when Daylight Saving Time is in effect, and an hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time when Daylight Saving Time is not in effect.

Hits 100 Aruba just fired up this past weekend's "AT40: The 70s" show (October 9th, 1976), right at 9:00 pm Eastern Daylight Time on Tuesday evening -- looks like the Tuesday airing is an encore, not a sneak preview (but still a great non-weekend opportunity to catch the show!)
As on Saturdays, though, they're presumably playing it an hour earlier than their Web site says -- unless they've changed their practice with Daylight Saving Time, it's actually only just past 8 pm in Aruba! (I can't credit the thought that the "AT40" graphic loads different times into itself depending on the time zone of the computer asking to load the site!...)

Not that I've sent nations to war over my misconception or anything like that, but...
I stand corrected!
After being bothered by Hits 100 Aruba seemingly starting "AT40" shows an hour earlier, local time, than their Web site shows, I went ahead and fact-checked online my long-held assumption about local time in Aruba, and lo and behold, I've been mistaken, probably since the first day I caught a broadcast out of Aruba!
Aruba actually follows Atlantic Standard Time year-round, which is the same as Eastern Daylight Time when Daylight Saving Time is in effect, and an hour ahead of Eastern Standard Time when Daylight Saving Time is not in effect. (I'd long thought the shift for Daylight Saving Time was the opposite; that Aruba always followed Eastern Standard Time and became an hour behind Eastern Daylight Time once Daylight Saving Time kicked in!...)
I've edited recent posts of mine where relevant, both in this thread and in the (current) '70's station thread...

Oh, incidentally: HITS 100.9 FM Stereo Aruba www.hits100.fmTheir website sez: AT-40 70s - Saturday 11am Eastern and Tuesday 9pm Eastern. AT-40 80s - Sunday 5pm Eastern and Wednesday 9pm Eastern. [ . . . ] The mid-week '80's replay might be on Thursdays rather than Wednesdays, though; translation of "Diahubs" on the Hits 100 Web site has proved problematic!... [ . . . ]I'm mistaken about this, too; Hits 100 Aruba is playing an encore of this past weekend's "AT40: The 80's" show tonight, Wednesday, even as I type -- and it seems to have started at 9 pm Eastern, just like their Web site says...
