A bit of a tangent here but it is advertising -
Those new TV ads for Honda Automobiles set my teeth on edge - especially the first one they released with Head Over Heels. Maybe it's an age thing for me, but I often wonder how some of these TV ads get approved by the people spending the money on them (the sponsors).
Of course there are also the numerous pharmaceutical ads on the news channels and nightly news that try to be amusing and always fail.
On the other hand the new Jerry West ad for Xarelto is actually very very good - the absence of Kevin Nealon being only one reason.

Now, we'll start to hear about the cold and flu medications, thru March, at least.

I could use some of that right about now
Can't wait for 3 1/2 months of Christmas commercials.

For local ads: On AT40: The 70's on WLS 94.7 FM Chicago, the obnoxious advertiser is Andy's Frozen Custard (a chain in several states and growing).

I haven't heard her either, although I admit I skip through the commercials - though we usually hear her leading off.
Maybe those same people who flushed their action figure down the toilet did the same to Flo.

Although it just debuted on the chart this week, this one is sure to give "frizz-ezzzzzz" and "Sir, is this your action figure?" competition as we get more and more sick of it. Before I say which ad it is, who wants to guess? Just started hearing it on the shows today and already I'm making fun of it. And yes, Flo continues to be mysteriously absent...
No one ventured a guess, but 'at40nut' mentioned it below: "Katie, can I borrow your Jergens?" says the Mom who does not respect personal space... Yep, this one's headed straight for the top of the annoying list! "Sometimes Mom doesn't know best!" followed by idiotic laughter...these two have issues...

Listening to KKLZ right now. I have heard no Flo today, but I heard an add for Jergens Body Lotion along with Butterfinger Cups. Is it a return to the late 80's/early 90's where we had body products and candy bars?- The good old days! The only thing that is missing is the Armed Forces commercials-I miss those. Several weeks ago, I was hoping that the Flo ads would die off like disco did in 1979. I hope it holds true.

I hate any ad that repeats its phone number, more than twice at the end of the commercials.

Since so many people are having trouble with WWIS on Friday afternoons, maybe WWIS could use some Super Beta Prostate. Note the irony within the call letters.

I heard a local ad from KKLZ for Bucky The Big Horn Sheep as a leading candidate for animal of the year or something like that for the state of Nevada . It looks like I will be giving the sheep the vote this year as Bucky will be my write- in candidate for the 2016 presidental election .

Every time I hear those commercials for Super Beta Prostate, I want to sing "SupercalifragilisticexpialaProstate"! Yes! I could make a cruel joke about Poppin', but I'll be decent. Sure, it's common for guys to have prostate issues. But come on -- do we really need to hear about them on the radio? One reason to be grateful to get Casey's shows on SiriusXM!
