Speaking of #2...They really overdid it on this weeks 1974 show. I counted 5 times in a 3-hour show! I didn't count during the 1982 show. Put a lid on it already.

I just hope that the producers of Glee don't get any ideas from the Go Go Squeeze ad that I keep hearing. They just might pull a Will To Power and use "Our Lips Are Sealed"/"Tempted" as a medley! I think they've ruined enough songs I found it ironic that Billy Vera & The Beaters' "At This Moment" was at #2 on the 2-7-87 show. That # 2 really was a #2 and shouldn't have been a #1 or #3 LOL At This Moment a #2??? It's one of my favorite songs. Lyrically, I rank it right up there with Why Can't This Be Love by Van Halen! How can you argue with the genius observation of "Only time will tell if we stand the test of time"?

I was simply joking about "At This Moment" because by the time I got to that part of the show, I got tired of that d*mn ad. I actually don't hate "At This Moment", but I have no love for it either. Back to Van Halen-I really didn't care for "Why Can't This Be Love", but the next two singles I absolutely love from 5150-one of their best albums IMO. I think that "Feels So Good" from OU812 was the worst Van Halen single to hit the Top 40.

I was at a team trivia fundraiser on Friday night, and there was a trivia question: What TV character, appearing in 100 different TV commercials, is played by Binghamton University's own alumnus Stephanie Courtney? (Binghamton University is only a few miles from where I live). Why it's our favorite, Flo! I had no idea that Flo went to our local university. I am so honored. Or am I? (No offense, Stephanie! It is directed at Ms. Floetry herself!)

They should have used the version of the song heard on the episode of Family Ties that was responsible for bringing it back.

I am starting to realize how much I miss WLIX....the only #2 I want on AT40 is the runner up to #1

Hey, how about the Geico ad with the grocery store rapper? Yet another 'instantly turn down the volume' ad...

It's good to hear an ad that was similar to an ad back in 1988-Motel 6 (I'm listening to the 88 show on KZOY right now) There was also an ad from the 90's-I want my baby back baby back baby back ribs from Chili's

The following example is not so much obnoxious as inappropriate: Did any of you catch an ad on the 70's show this week for ProFlowers and Sheri's Berries? It was a VALENTINE'S DAY promotional ad. And what is today's date? If you said March 3rd, go to the head of the class! Not you, Premiere! You go sit in the corner with a dunce cap for turning in your Valentine's Day ad three weeks late. (Seriously, though, airing obsolete ads for an event or holiday that has already taken place is a pretty egregious mistake that happens more often than you think. I've noticed this happening many times on local radio stations here in Indpls.)

Don't know what the syndication details are for Steve Goddard's two oldies shows are, but someone probably should have caught that one.

Not really obnoxious, but kind of funny: on KOKZ yesterday I heard what amounted to an ad for the YMCA—in a March 1979 countdown which included the Village People’s song singing its other praises.

"I threw up this morning"
O-o-o-o-o-o-kay, lady, whatever you say!
(I think we can crown a new champion!)
