On the 7/30/05 edition of AT20, Casey used a three-word phrase that's been absent from his vocabulary for at least a year and a half...
"falling six notches..." ;D
Seriously, given the incredibly slow motion of the HotAC chart and the "below #15 after 20 weeks" recurrent rule, how often will a song make that large a drop within the top 20? The last one I can think of was "Landslide", but that was an unusual scenario...

On this weeks AT20 (09/10/2005) we heard another sentence, which became very rare: "This week we have three debuts..".
I think it was the first time this year, that there were more than two new songs on the countdown (including "Listen To Your Heart", the first dance song on RRs HotAC-Chart I can remember since quite a long while...
Sounded strange but nice in the context of AT20...

I'm also glad they played the upbeat dance version of Listen To Your Heart, rather than the slower, more somber sounding version. Which version does AT40 use?

I did some research, and found that the last time AT20 featured 3 debuts was 5/29/04 -- over 15 months ago!

This weekend we had another big weekend on AT20, as Charlie Tuna once again counted down three debuts for the second time in the last five shows. In addition, the biggest mover in the survey moved up a powerful six notches from #13 to # 6. And, the second biggest mover moved up five notches from #17 to #12. And the third biggest mover moved up four notches from #9 to #5. A very good week for the Hot AC Top 20!!

One minor glitch during this week's AT20... about midway through the final hour, Charlie Tuna outroed a song (wish I could remember which one), and mentioned "AT10" instead of "AT20". And I'm pretty sure this wasn't a song that got played on both versions of the show, so we can probably chalk it up to an errant keystroke by a scriptwriter.

I just listened to Charlie's outros for Hour 3....can't seem to find it. Maybe I missed it?

This was easily the most active AT20 survey since I started listening way back in June 1996!

I guess the big question is whether or not this will be an isolated incident or if we're beginning to see more turn-over of records at HAC radio. I'm hoping for the latter, but expecting the former.

The error on this weeks AT20 (10/10/05) was at the end of section 1/ hour#3: After Charlie outcued the song "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac he said: "And AT10 rolls on." - in reality he was (guest-)hosting the AT20-edition (at that time).

Thank you, svoigt... I was still half-asleep when I heard that, and wasn't sure if it really happened or not.

I just listened again to my tape, which was from WXXO/WOXX Meadville-Franklin, PA. After Landslide plays, Charlie says:
"That's Fleetwood Mac from 1998 with the live version of Landslide. I'm Charlie Tuna for Casey Kasem, and the countdown continues!"
That's odd!! Were there two cuts of the show this weekend? Perhaps someone caught it late?
As for why it happened, my guess is since it was a song featured on both shows, they simply used the AT10 voicetrack for AT20 and didn't change it. Although it wasn't heard in Meadville PA!!!!

They probably sent replacement copies out. Your station got the replacement, and I guess ome others did not.
