I wasn't aware of this practice? Do they actually mail out a new CD? How often does something like this happen? If I were Premiere, I don't know if a small error like that would result in me taking the time and effort for a replacement copy.

Hold on a second. We always joke around and say we arent happy about how most PD's and Premiere itself doesnt really care about errors it makes on shows or missed segments, now they catch and correct one and thats wasting time on a small error?!
It could have either been replaced on CD, or the correct segment downloaded from Premiere's website.

Well, that depends on the size of the error. Affiliate mistakes such as missing or repeating segments, running shows out of order, repeating parts of old shows, the world famous "last week's show replayed in its entirety", and the show beginning nowhere near the scheduled time (I once woke up at 8:40 to find a 9am affiliate well into the show) are inexcusable.
As for mistakes in the actual production of the show - I've never really complained too much. Sometimes with the chart facts I wonder how no one catches it if it's something like "falling 2 notches from number 4 to number 5"
If the correction was downloaded on Premiere's website, that's good, but I don't think I would send out a replacement CD for an "AT10 error." Now, if it was, say, the wrong song (like that one time a while back on Backtrax USA) then I would definately send a CD to each affiliate.

I guess the big question is whether or not this will be an isolated incident or if we're beginning to see more turn-over of records at HAC radio. I'm hoping for the latter, but expecting the former. Actually, we have been seeing more of a turnover. I've noticed in the last year or two that the longest-running songs on AT20's chart are averaging about 40 weeks. Compare this to 5 years ago when songs would sometimes stick around 50 or 60 weeks -- or more!

It could have either been replaced on CD, or the correct segment downloaded from Premiere's website. My guess is the latter. And like you pointed out, if the error is caught, why not send out corrections to as many stations as possible? I think they made the right choice without question.

Another huge mover this week, as Green Day's "Wake Me Up When September Ends" rockets up the countdown from #12 to #5.

I found it noteworthy this week that Casey played "Sowing The Seeds Of Love" as an extra immediately following DHT's "Listen To Your Heart", since it was climbing the chart at the same time as the original Roxette version.

My two cents on something....Roxettes version is MUCH better than the remake, although I think the remake actually keeps the integrity of the song intact. Unlike the few seconds I have heard of the new "More than Words" remake.

I enjoy the dance-style remix version of the DHT song, which AT20 played for the first few weeks before switching over to the slower version (I believe they started playing the slow version the weekend of Oct 1/2) The slow version is just a bit depressing, sort of like My Immortal was back in 2003/2004. But the Roxette version still takes the cake.

The only disagreement I have there is that DHT's remake (at least the dance version) doesn't include the bridge from the original (which happens to be my favorite part of the song).

true, but when I say it maintained the integrity I mean it stayed true to it's original version. Not like...say, Endless Love with all of the "oooooohhhhhhh, ooooooohhhhhhaaaaaaaahhhh" all in it, or as I said "More than Words".

Unlike the few seconds I have heard of the new "More than Words" remake. I agree. In fact, the mere existence of the remake has made me appreciate the original even more. For many years, Roxette's version was a song I could take or leave, but lately anytime it comes on the radio I will listen to it all the way through. (Although I give DHT props for clearing up the "wilder than the wind" line, which I've never been able to understand for the last 16 years. Apparently, this line only appears in the slow version.)

This week's amusing observation: for the second week in a row, a former Top 10 song falls below #15 without going recurrent.
Last week, Get To Me fell 14-18 and this week Only You drops 11-16. More signs the charts are slightly improving?

On this weekend's AT20, Casey gets to name another big dropper (down SEVEN), as Alanis Morissette's "Crazy" tumbles 12-19.
