It's hard to say I could like any show in full from 1983 on chiefly because of remixes. This was more true during the Shadoe years because the show played bad versions of songs I really liked.
One case in point: I never liked the standard pop version of Mariah Carey's "Someday." But I loved & managed to secure a commercial 7" version of the "New Jack Swing" mix which many r&b and dance stations played instead.

I liked all of the shows from April to Oct 1981.

Like many of you, can't honestly say there were whole shows I liked, but 1974 to 1977 brought many where I liked most of the songs. dL

One show I really did enjoy was June 20, 1987 - which Premiere aired nearly a couple of years back. Virtually every song on that episode was pretty good, especially Company B's "Fascinated", Expose's "Point of No Return", Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers' "Jammin' Me", The System's "Don't Disturb This Groove" and there was a LDD for "The Future's So Bright (I Gotta Wear Shades)" by Timbuk 3, where Casey chuckled before introducing the song. Even some of the smoother stuff, such as Kenny G's "Songbird", was pretty good.
To be quite honest, I liked a lot of shows during June and July 1987, and I think August 8 marked the last week of what I call a great period for my listening pleasure in 1987. But yeah, June 20, 1987 stands out at me the most.

Which stations air the 80's shows? Do they have the original commercials?

On immediate recall, 3/04/72 is one of my favorite shows from #40 to #1.

Loved all three shows this week, especially 1979 which had maybe the rarest chart occurrence of all. Casey announced Exile was debuting at #40. The very next week, You Thrill Me not only fell out of the countdown, but off the entire Hot 100. I doubt there were more than 1/2 dozen songs that did that the entire classic era. I don't know where it was but you may be surprised how many songs fell off the chart entirely when they fell out of the top 40.

The 80s offering this week from May 30, 1987 NEARLY attains this feat. The lone song that I absolutely cannot listen to is Lionel Richie's "Se La." I can stomach "Wanted Dead or Alive" by Bon Jovi and Glenn Madeiros' "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You". Brian will be thrilled to know that I can sing along to the entirety of "I'll Still Be Loving You" by Restless Heart.
ONE SONG keeps this from being a perfect show to me.

Looking back at this post from May 2014--funny thing, I would say I really liked the 5/30/87 show as well, but "Se La" is not one of the songs that would ruin for me--I actually really like that song. The songs that I could do without on that show are the ones by Poison, Kenny G, Chicago, and Glenn Madeiros. Take those four out and it's close to a perfect show.

There have been many shows where I liked 25-30 songs, but one show really sticks out for me -10/7/89. Lots of good stuff like "Love In An Elevator," "Heaven" "Love Shack," "Love Song ,"Bust A Move" etc. One song in particular that was one of my least favorites just so happened to be the #1 song that week-Janet Jackson's "Miss You Much."

That reminds me of late 1977. There were so many weeks during that time period where I liked 39 out of the top 40. The one stinker? "You Light Up My Life", of course, which was #1.

SXM 8 just played an in house countdown with that same chart. Had they done one of the two preceding weeks, I would have had the same reaction to the #1 song ("Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" by Milli Vanilli--yuck.) Still, while I didn't like everything else in the countdown it had a lot of good songs that to Premiere are lost in the Shadoes or somewhere in the Westwoods.

Lovin' this 1980 show! Turbo Casey playing lots of soft rock, AC, smooth jazz, Legacy artists, Urban Cowboy country, rock. R&B, movie music, new wave, and disco without being hit over the head with it like a year prior. This chart had it all. I'm liking it too but prefer NORMAL speed. It just annoys me and I can't get past it.
