Here's an odd one: the bridge on Twisted Sister's "We're not Gonna Take It" is very similar to the one on the Honeycombs' "Have I the Right?" Funny thing about "We're Not Gonna Take It" -- Dee Snyder said that right before the song hit it big, somebody told him that it sounded like he took the melody for the chorus from "O Come All Ye Faithful". Dee thought about it for a second and realized he was right... O Come Let Us Not Take It?

And who remembers Stonebolt's 1978 charter "I Will Still Love You" which had people thinking it was a new song by Bread (even after David Gates left the group?) at the time.

Uncle Kracker's 2001 hit "Follow Me" sounds similar to Johnnie Taylor's 1973 hit "I Believe In You (You Believe In Me)"

You Little Trustmaker by the Tymes sounds like Frank Sinatra.

You Little Trustmaker by the Tymes sounds like Frank Sinatra. Echoes of the fadeout to "Strangers in the Night"?

Some people think "Hang On In There Baby" by Johnny Bristol was a Barry White song since the music echoes the Barry White/Love Unlimited Orchestra's "Love's Theme".

The beginning of Love You Inside Out sounds like we're about to hear David Seville's comeback.

"Emotional Rescue" by the Rolling Stones reminds me of The Bee Gees.
Edie Brickell and Sheryl Crow sound a lot like Rickie Lee Jones, in my opinion.

Mick's falsetto could definitely make him a 5th brother Gibb.

lasvegaskid, that certainly makes sense, as Kenny Nolan wrote both his ILD and FV's MEAY. What really gets me is that he wrote Labelle's "Lady Marmalade." I mean, you could interchange Frankie and Kenny's songs, but I can NOT imagine Frankie or Kenny singing LM. I don't know. If Frankie Valli sang "Lady Marmalade" the way he sang "Grease", it could work. And speaking of Patti LaBelle, the chorus of Dua Lipa's "Physical" sounds just like the chorus of "New Attitude".

The beginning of Poison's 1991 hit "Life Goes On" sounds like Gary Richrath's bridge guitar solo in REO Speedwagon's 1981 hit "Take It On The Run."

The beginning of Love You Inside Out sounds like we're about to hear David Seville's comeback. I always thought Love You Inside Out was the Bee Gees attempt to sound like Earth, Wind & Fire.

Kiss' Forever sounded more like the Chicago Bill Champlin big power ballads of the era.
