The instrumental bridge in Yesterday's Gone by Chad and Jeremy sounds like The First Toymakers To The King (It's A Difficult Responsibility).

The beginning of The Guess Who's "Rain Dance" I often get confused with the beginning of Seals & Crofts' "Diamond Girl".

I heard Hurricane Smith's "Babe, What Would You Say" on the Jan 6, 1973 countdown on the Classic AT40 IHeart Radio Channel the other day, and it reminded me of "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO from 1978. The difference is that "Mr. Blue Sky" is a 1000x better song.

I've long thought that Holiday by The Other Ones sounds a lot like the B-52s. So much so, in fact, that when Love Shack first charted I fully expected it to flop because Holiday hadn't done so well.

Though not a Top 40/AT40 chart song but heard as an OPTIONAL EXTRA on AT40: The 80's 7/16/1983: "The Metro" by Berlin might have reminded you of a lost song in the style of the 1980 Devo song "Whip It".

I've always thought that it sounded more like "Kids In America" by Kim Wilde. I think that Kim Wilde, Berlin, and Scandal were following the post-Blondie trend.

“Cool Kids” by Echosmith sounds just like Taylor Swift.

Do you think Eddie Rabbitt's 1979 song "Suspicions" should have been done by Hall and Oates?

Do you think Eddie Rabbitt's 1979 song "Suspicions" should have been done by Hall and Oates? Not sure, but what I do know is that song does not sound very country - has somewhat of a smooth jazz feel to it.

I always thought that if a WaWa Pedal replaced the horn section in Phil Collins' "I Missed Again", it would kind of sound like "Brother Louie" by Stories

Paul Anka and Jason Mraz sound the same to me.

I don't think that there is a thread called "Artists that you wish would have covered another artist's song", but would it have been funny if Air Supply would have covered "I'll Meet You Halfway" by The Partridge Family? I think it would have sounded like "Even The Nights Are Better" especially with the piano intro, although the arrangement is slightly different

Isn't it because both Even The Nights Are Better and Arthur's Theme both feature a long chord progression of 4ths? (2-, 5, 1, 4, 7b) Hello by LR has it, too. Killing Me Softly by RF has the 2-, 5, 1, 4 bit. For those of you familiar with CCM, Amy Grant's (Michael Card's) El Shaddai has the same chord progression.
I used to play just the chords on the piano, and then ask people what song came to mind, and immediately, they would sing one of those songs, but often they all came up with different songs. Always made me laugh.
Like interchanging the lyrics Amazing Grace, The House Of The Rising Sun and Theme From Gilligan's Island.

Eddie Schwartz's "All Our Tomorrow's" sounds like a slower version of Randy Meisner's "Hearts On Fire".
