In their ever changing definition of a hit, Alan said Love Will Save the Day would be a 'minor' one for Whitney peaking at #9. This was after Casey lite said Perfect World writer Alex Call was 'fresh' off of 'Jenny. I don't know if six years later was all that fresh.

In their ever changing definition of a hit, Alan said Love Will Save the Day would be a 'minor' one for Whitney peaking at #9. Most of the other singles from that album went to #1, so I can see why he went with "minor" when describing that song. Possibly tongue-in-cheek.

The 1986 Big 40 last week used the Nina-Mark-Alan... talk-break format, with Alan intro-ing the number-one song. On the 1988 Big 40 this week, this same talk-break format is being used for the second straight week instead of going with the Alan-Nina-Mark... format, with Mark intro-ing the top song. I'm not sure if this is an error by the producers or something else. This makes me wonder which talk break format will be used for the '85 countdown next week, but I sure don't want to see Nina intro-ing the whole countdown for a third straight week.
