Nina said "You & ME" instead of "You & I" for the Eddie/Crystal duet. Guess I have to say "In her weekly chart screw-up", right?

In her weekly content screw up, Nina called the #26 hit You and "Me". This was after she said Eddie recruited Crystal to do a duet in 1983. Of course by this point, this 1982 tune had already been on the chart for six months.
Then she placed Der Kommissar in 1982 when it didn't chart until Feb 83.

Much like with the Bon Jovi song a couple weeks ago, there was no bumper or number jingle before the Supertramp song.

After once again having Down Under displayed as 1981, Mark called Austin/Ingram's number oner... "Come To Me"

For what it's worth, there actually were hits in the late 1970s called "You And Me" and "Come To Me."

It wasn't released here until 1982. Using that logic, then for consistency Sheriff two weeks ago should have been labeled 1983 because that is when it was released and actually first charted. Into The Night should always listed as 1980, etc.

Using that logic, then for consistency Sheriff two weeks ago should have been labeled 1983 because that is when it was released and actually first charted. Into The Night should always listed as 1980. That’s probably true, it all depends on who entered the data into the system. The songs all get pulled from the same library at Sirius. There are duplicate entries for some songs however, most likely depending on which album they pulled them from. Nick Lowe’s “Cruel To Be Kind” is played on both the 70’s channel, and the 80’s channel. Sometimes it has the year as 1979, sometimes 1980. Another weird thing that happens is pulling an older version of a song, what I mean is Sirius plays Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” a lot across the various channels. Sometimes they play the newer release, sometimes they play the original 1980’s CD release from Rumours. That particular one has an audio glitch at the very end of the song. This was corrected on later issues. Point is, the date being wrong isn’t a countdown mistake, it’s just how the song is listed in the Sirius library.

It wasn't released here until 1982. If Sirius were to go by U.S. release/chart entry dates for the decade channels' library (even for singles first released outside the U.S.), than yes, the display is wrong in a sense (although "Down Under" did top the Australian Kent Music Report chart in December of '81). If anything, I wish the change from (83) to (81) hadn't been made in the first place. "Down Under"'s Hot 100 entry was in the first week of November '82, and it reached the chart's #1 spot in January of '83. If it was me, I'd list "Down Under" as (82) rather than (83). And continuing this discussion, "Material Girl" is now bring listed as (84) even though it was released in January of '85 and entered the Hot 100 on February 9.

I may be in the minority, but I'd list "Down Under" as (83), since that's the year it peaked. For songs whose peak straddles years (like 1981 and 1982's top 2 for 9 weeks; "Physical" and "Waiting For A Girl Like You"), it's a toss-up.

I noticed that lately there have been several songs that had their display year changed. Some make sense while some don't. For example, they now have "Cruel Summer" with (83) now? Guessing that was when it was originally released but it didn't chart here until a year later. Looking further down, they changed the one for "Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic" from (82) to (81), which makes sense because it peaked during the latter.
They also changed "Every Little Step" to the correct year of (89) finally.

Mark said he didn't remember ever hearing Shirley Murdock. Since this same chart has been played before, he may have introed or outroed 'Lay, it just shows Casey lite never bothers to listen to their own show.
