Alan said Finer Things was the 4th of 5 High Life hits. Really 3rd of 4 for Steve Winwood.

Mark said he didn't remember ever hearing Shirley Murdock. Since this same chart has been played before, he may have introed or outroed 'Lay, it just shows Casey lite never bothers to listen to their own show. To be fair, I don't think anyone plays that song outside this countdown and any Premiere shows that featured it, like last week's Also, would the pronunciation of "isla" go either way? At least they played the studio version of "That Ain't Love" again.

In her weekly content screw up Nina said Foreigner had over a dozen top tenners, I think the actual number is nine.

At least with instances like that you can tell it's blatantly obvious that Wikipedia writes these things for their interns. Guess how they have the singles ordered? But that's because they incorporate Genesis's home country as taking precedence in terms of single order, and since in this case they're British...

Stupid question time: How do we know they have interns? Was it ever stated in the 12 or so years the VJ Countdown has existed? If there are interns, I would imagine they hope to go into TV or Radio Broadcasting.

The errors have been a little lighter the last couple weeks and 1984 should keep the momentum going

Not just this chart, but pretty much every year features *some* chart that contains the song. The host of Pop2K's countdown made a similar remark a few months ago. They just don't pay attention is all.

In their ever changing definition of a hit, Alan said Youngster's Come Back and Stay was written by the same guy that wrote Blonde's biggie Hanging On The Telephone. The latter never reached the Hot 100. But then he said TT's Hold Me Now was their first real hit even though Lies reached the top 30.

Nina referred to the Runner artist as Manfred Mann. Of course by this point they were billed as MM's Earth Band.

Somebody needs to be Watching for these errors.. Alan said Rockwell's countdown song featured labelmate MJ. Of course the Michael's glove now belonged to Epic, his Motown days had long since passed.
