If I worked at Sirius XM, then at holiday time I’d secret-Santa a few people some Joel Whitburn books... Yes! And a new book, Ranking the '80s, by Bill Carroll.

Where are the football fans on this thread?! Alan mentioned the SF 49ers singing back-up for Huey Lewis. You won't find Mike Ellison on the roster, but you will find Riki Ellison.

At the end of the show the big voice guy said 1984 next week, immediately followed by him announcing 1981 for next week?! It should obviously just be 1984. Probably to make up for them not playing the 1981 preview at first last week?

Wow, could I be the only one who caught Alan listing the hits off Hall & Oates' album, among them the cover of You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling by the "Everly" Brothers?

Um... ""Borderline" is a song recorded by American singer Madonna for her eponymous debut album Madonna (1983). It was released on February 15, 1984, by Sire Records as the album's fifth single." (from Wikipedia, of course) Seemed to have been referring to singles overall, because "Lucky Star" was released in the UK a year before it became a hit in the states.
