What amazes me about these continued screw ups is that they are still happening! Mark, Nina and Alan don’t research the stuff, someone else scans Wikipedia and writes it all up for them. What I find interesting is that they, Mark, Nina and Alan, don’t catch anything. Unless of course although they’ve always worked in the music/radio industry they’ve never actually paid attention to anything and have always been nothing more than a voice.

Given the usual rate of chart errors, I was quite surprised when Alan compared Culture Club's US vs. UK statistics and actually got everything correct, especially since Wikipedia lists the UK data first and the US data at the very end.

OMG, Mark just said Make Me Lose Control was from Footloose! Then he said it had 2 more songs coming up; really three. The title cut, 'Sheets, and Let's Hear It. Whoever writes the script must really just quickly scan Wikipedia. If you look up the entry for “Almost Paradise” it says that the song is one of two written by Dean Pitchford and Eric Carman with the other being “Make Me Lose Control”. So obviously whoever is writing the script read no further and just assumed both were on the Footloose soundtrack. Mark should have caught that.

From the last '87 Big 40:
Peaking "La Isla Bonita" had its bongo-drum intro omitted, even on the regular programming. I first noticed this last year when the May 2 chart (the first week "La Isla Bonita" was at that position) was covered.
On the '84 Big 40:
"Whisper to a Scream (Birds Fly)" was labeled 1983 despite entering the U.S. Pop Chart on APRIL 21ST OF '84! (Although it might be referring to its original UK release date.) Also, the display shows its original UK title rather than the reversed US version (similar to how "Keep Feeling Fascination" is always reversed).

Alan said countdown New Sensation took INXS to a new level. They were already there with three prior top fivers including #1 Need You Tonight. Then in their ever changing definition of a hit, he said Strange But True was the only one for x2. Their followup Cecelia graced the bottom of the Hot 100.

Mark said countdown 'Love was the last of Foreigner's 16 chart appearances. He meant top 40 entries for both.

Put this in the Big Oof file. Alan referred to Brenda Russell as Brenda K. Starr. I know both singers are in the countdown and both happen to have the same first name and he said the correct name the second time but COME ON. Alan said countdown New Sensation took INXS to a new level. They were already there with three prior top fivers including #1 Need You Tonight. It sounded more like he was referring to the album "Kick" as he rattled off the other singles from it before getting to the song.

You and I know Alan screwed up when he said Rabbitt's last top 40 was I Don't Know Where To Start. He also said parent Step By Step was Eddie's 3rd album. He was already a vet by 1982 with at least 1/2 dozen records under his belt.

Alan just said that Eddie Rabbitt had his last top 40 hit when he would have one more with "You & I" with Crystal Gayle later that year.

I don't normally do chart movement-related mess-ups but Nina said Alabama was dropping 16!! when it actually moved up 6.

Alan referred to Hurts So Good singer as John Mellencamp. Of course he was still being billed as Cougar at this time. Then he said the guys Private Eyes (#5) wasn't quite as successful was Voices (#17)?

Alan said Never Been To Me was a 1976 rerelease. Charlene first charted 9/77. Then in their ever changing definition of a hit, Alan said Dazz Band had so many biggies. Let It Whip was their only top 40.
