I guess I can excuse the Elvis and Air Supply mistakes, but playing the 1986 version of "Don't Stand So Close To Me" in an 1981 specific countdown is ridiculous. Not because it's bad necessarily, but because it sounds so different from the 1980-81 original--which gets constant recurrent play on 80s on 8 and elsewhere! How often does anyone hear the later version?
(Oh, and shortly after the countdown ended the channel played the Police's preceding single from the same album, "De Do Do Do, De Da Da Da".)

In her weekly chart screw up Nina said Woman was #2, when JL really occupied the #3 spot.

OMG, now they are playing the 1986 version of DSSCTM. They actually fixed that, thank goodness.

Mark just said Cyndi's "Change Of Heart" was from her debut. Nope, it was from the follow-up album.

Mark just said that "Word Up" was a #1 Pop hit when I'm pretty sure it just hit #1 on the R&B chart.

OMG, Alan started by saying Communards was remake of 'classic 1975' by HMATBN. It was so classic it never cracked the Hot 100! Of course only version that anyone remembers is the #1 by Thelma Houston in 1977!

Alan also called REO Speedwagon's album "As We Know It", forgetting the "Life" part.

Alan also called REO Speedwagon's album "As We Know It", forgetting the "Life" part. At least they played the right version of the single, one week after they made an even more notable goof with the wrong version of a Police song before it was corrected (the live version of "That Ain't Love" they used to play at least sounds reasonably similar to the studio version.)

In their ever changing definition of a hit, Mark said ONJ had three from Two of A Kind. Two tracks reached the Hot 100.

They are playing the Rock 'n Soul album Adult Ed, not the guys heavily punched up single version. Let's add some energy to the show by hearing the actual hit.. www.youtube.com/watch?v=XLYqTZKEpvs
