So this is obviously from a different era (last week: 3/30/19) but check this out:
In the song, "Wow", Post Malone mentions Fall Out Boy. Not only is Fall Out Boy on this week's countdown (In a feature role on "I've Been Waiting"), the bassist of FOB, Pete Wentz, is the guest host!
Also, Post Malone drops the Jonas Brothers on another top 40 hit this week ("Better Now"), and the Jonas Brothers are on the top 40 as well.

Rick Nelson's "Garden Party" contains a sly reference to John Lennon ("Yoko brought her walrus."). Stevie Wonder mentions the Jackson 5 (who happened to be singing backup with him) on his hit "You Haven't Done Nothin' ''. Garden Party also refers to George Harrison and Bob Dylan.

Pre AT 40 but I Dig Rock and Roll Music mentions both Beatles and Mamas & Papas, who were coincidentally both in the top 40 as well when Peter Paul and Mary debuted 9/2/67. PP&M also mention Donovan--and the week ending September 23, 1967--here's where the song(s) ranked on the Billboard chart--
9--I Dig Rock n Roll Music--Peter , Paul & Mary
11--There Is A Mountain-Donovan
20--Twelve Thirty (Young Girls Are Coming To The Canyon)-Mamas & Papas
24--All You Need Is Love-Beatles.
What a great year for music.

Bon Jovi's It's My Life mentions Frank (Sinatra) So does "Only Wanna Be With You" by Hootie & The Blowfish in the second verse ("Put on a little Dylan" "Ain't Bobby so cool", as well as using a few lines from Dylan's "Idiot Wind" in the same verse). They also mention "Tangled Up In Blue" later in the song. Though his name wasn't mentioned, Dylan's song "Desolation Row" was mentioned many times, in the chorus of "Spanish Eddie" by Laura Branigan.
