Here's an interesting note: With "Starboy" hitting the Top 10, it is the third time (after "Poison" by BellBivDevoe and "Around The Way Girl" by LL Cool J) that New Edition has been mentioned in a top 10 song on AT 40.
New Edition as a group only hit the top 10 on AT or CT 40 twice.

Also, they came very close to another, as they were name dropped in Twista/Kanye West/Jamie Foxx's "Slow Jamz" which just missed the top 10 in pop airplay.

And there had been yet another top 20 hit mentioning New Edition - LFO's "Summer Girls", from 1999.

Hope this hasn’t been mentioned but Moves Like Rihanna by The Wanted name drops...wait for it...Rihanna. There’s also a song by Charlie Puth called Marvin Gaye that is about...*jeopardy music*...Marvin Gaye and of course there was Moves Like Jagger, that should also be self explanatory.

New Radicals: You Get What You Give Fashion shoots with Beck and HansonCourtney Love, who charted on AT40 with her group Hole and the song "Malibu" is also mentioned. And it charted at the same time! Alas, Marilyn Manson never hit the top 40, and he was name dropped too.
