Madonna and Duran Duran had hits on AT40 for four decades since their top 40 debuts in 1983. They had top 40 hits in the 1980s, 1990s, and at least one each in the 2000s and 2010s, if the two had very short runs for their lattermost hits.
U2 also qualifies in the four decades criteria.

It looks like Beyoncé is getting credit for her appearance on the remix of Megan Thee Stallion's "Savage", which is currently top 40. If her credit on this counts, add a fourth straight decade for her.

It was mentioned on AT40 in 2010 that Rivers Cuomo had exactly 3 Top 40 hits and all of them landed in 3 separate decades: 1995 - Buddy Holly - Weezer 2005 - Beverly Hills - Weezer 2010 - Magic - B.o.B. f/Rivers Cuomo I loved when "Carrie" by Cliff Richard debuted in April of 1980 on the top 40, he became the first artist to have a song in four decades and he did it in just over 20 years and only, at the time, five songs! Actually, it was less than that. Since "We Don't Talk Anymore" lasted into the 1980s and he'd already had a song in the 70s ("Devil Woman"), he had one single in each of the four decades - and it was closer to 20 years by about three months (not sure when his 50s hit charted, but it seems to be implied that it was 1959).

You can absolutely see it that way as well. Either way: with a song that debuted in the 80's or a holdover from 79, that is really impressive.

Actually, Katy Perry has already been included, but just barely. "Daisies" debuted on the Hot 100 at #40 about three weeks ago and then dropped into the 70s. It will probably go back up eventually.
