Some 1987 notes Visible moon of seven wonders story, even Charlie Van Dyke mentioned it last time Soft jingle songbird Tv themes 1980s snippets started with Theme Dukes of Hazzard, end with Miami Vice, with due to theme moonlighting charting And the story about the Whispers being inspired by the 60s Hertz commercial sung by the Hi-Los, a piece of which was played. Casey said that they had prepared that story in 1981 (when the Whispers were in the countdown with “It’s a Love Thing”), but that dropped out of the countdown before it could be used and the group didn’t return to AT40 until 1987’s “Rock Steady”.

Prediction for next show:
8/25/84
I still think a 1984 standalone is in the cards for the month of August and this one last played by itself in 2015 is a strong candidate. 8/21/82 looks like the only other candidate but I guess 1982 waits until September.

^ Potentially more likely? That hasn't been done since 2017, whereas 8/25 has been a B show twice since 2015 (in 16 and 19).

Michael Jackson would have five # 1 songs from the "Bad" album,an accomplishment that would be matched by Katy Perry's 2010 album "Teenage Dream". Also equaled in R&R/Mediabase/AT40 by Janet Jackson and Taylor Swift. Surpassed on the Billboard by Katy Perry, as six hits from Teenage Dream hit #1 - all of them for at least four weeks, so I imagine that all six also topped the Mediabase chart.

There's a technicality in there. One of the #1 songs was from the reissue of TD (subtitled "The Complete Collection") two years after. So if you go by just the original album, she had only 5.

In the meantime, this weekend we get a 1980 show with her on top.

I bet the Olivia Newton-John/ELO "Xanadu" extra will stay even with the recent ONJ death.
