Notice that JULY 31st 1982 show hasnt been played since 2010...12 years now And with 7-3-82 just played on the weekend of the 4th,the 7-31-82 show doesn't look promising at this time to be aired this year. 7/21/84 hasn't been offered as an 'A' show since 2010 either -- since 1984's last airing was in June and it will have been four weeks, it wouldn't be out of the question (though if it were that show, it would mean a 1984 'A' will have happened in four straight months). It could also be a 'B' to a 1981 'A' if that happens one of the last weekends of July.

An unexpected bonus AT40 sighting: WSMG (Greeneville, TN) is playing the show from July 17....1999. It apparently started at 7 PM (I didn't find out until just a few minutes ago.)

I can confirm that it started at 7:00 because that's when I tuned in to hear the beginning of 7/9/88 since I had missed the first 5 songs Sunday night .

IIRC, notable since both 1988 shows of 6/25 and 7/9 were played by Premiere this year: 6/25 was the last show to feature "Casey's Coast To Coast", while on 7/9 would be the first show not to feature that (excluding the guest-hosted 7/2 show, which may already have done away with "Casey's Coast To Coast"; I'd have to confirm).

Small wonder why she'd have passed: By that point, she'd be tackling heavier matters, like her own hit at the very same time, "Papa Don't Preach". One could argue that a similar dynamic played out in late 1991/the first half of 1992: Stacy Earl's two AT40-charting hits were produced by Oliver Lieber, one of the producers who helped Paula Abdul's Forever Your Girl shoot into the stratosphere (he produced the title song, "(It's Just) The Way That You Love Me", and "Opposites Attract"; Elliot Wolff did the honors for "Straight Up" and "Cold Hearted"). Stacy's "Romeo and Juliet" also features The Wild Pair - as "Opposites Attract" did - and sounds a LOT like "Forever Your Girl", IMO. Paula...didn't quite tackle heavier subject matters as Madonna did, but her own concurrent Spellbound album was crafted with different musicians altogether (The Family Stand).

Not one song on 7/12/86 was in the same position as the week before. That doesn't happen very often.
