On this week's 1984 Casey did a hard sell of how Diana just doesn't stop hitting the charts... until then when Ross would record just one more AT40 appearance.

On October 23, 1976, Casey said that KISS stated that they wore makeup in public to separate their music lives from their civilian lives, and that "they always would wear make-up". In the early 80's, KISS started performing without their trademark make-up.

11/4/1972 AT40: the 70's has Casey mention for the #40 song by Mott the Hopple with "All The Young Dudes" "You'll be hearing a lot about him." Alas, "Dudes" was Mott's only AT40 entry. (But the producer, David Bowie, would finally make AT40 a year later with "Space Oddity".

On 11/2/85 Casey ranked artists who had hit AT40 in the most consecutive years, which included Olivia Newton-John, of whom he said "and her streak is active so she might extend it". She never made AT40 again (though she did reach CT40 in 1996-97 as part of the "Grease Megamix".)

Casey told the story of how the Commodores broke up a year after forming, and then got back together, and Casey mentioned no more talk of Lionel Richie leaving the group. Casey--three years later Lionel Richie left for a solo career. The story was just before "Still" on this week's 11-10-79 show.
