Show #106 is ready to go, with the countdown of the 40 biggest hits from October 17, 1987. Cue sheets are up on the above link. Run time is 3 hours and 24 minutes.
Here is a tentative schedule for November
11/3/2013 -- 11/6/1982 11/10/2013 -- 11/9/1974 11/17/2013 -- 11/17/1962 11/24/2013 -- 11/25/1989
Right now I have the idea of 1983 for the year-end top 100 and more likely it will be from Cashbox charts.
Any suggestions for any other years. So far I did 1967 and 1971.

How about the Top100 of 77,79, or 1981, AT40 already did 1983 about to 2 or 3 years ago. So I believe your listening fans would want some Top100 from a year not heard yet. What do you think?

The year of 1979 would be the better bet since AT40 only did the top 50. Also 1973 was another year that was on the back of my mind. Thank you for posting.

This weeks countdown will be from October 26, 1963. There are six extra songs that is below the 40 that we will play and lots of great stuff. I will get the cue sheet up a little later.

I would vote (If there was a poll) for 1979 for the same reason that there was no Top 100 of 1979 by AT40. They only did a Top 50 of 1979 and Top 50 of the 1970's at the end of 1979.

Thanks for your comment it may very well be the top 100 of 1979. This show will air in it's entirety on Sunday December 29th and again on January 1, 2014.
This week it's a regular countdown of November 6, 1982. In the third hour we'll have a short tribute to Lou Reed. Cue sheets are up.

I'd like the REAL top 100 of 1972 since AT40 got it all wrong. But its also one of the years I am eventually doing so whatever you like...

Pandy, I think you should do your original idea of the Cashbox Top 100 of 1983.

Which charts do you usually follow? I follow Billboard for my regular and special shows. Cashbox would be an interesting plan, you could do years AT40 did a top 100 and not be the same exact show. Except for the years AT40 went off the Billboard path and figured it themselves (incorrectly I might add)

I still believe 1979 would be a good year to do, because At40 did only the top 50, so why not top 100 of 1979.

There will be no new countdown for today, due to me being 'under the weather' So I have pulled a show that I have done exactly a year ago. So instead of 1962 we are doing a show from 1967. I have put the cue sheet up for show # 58. I will do a show from 1962 in December. The show runs 2 hours and 58 minutes and as always it will repeat at 5:00 PM.

I feel much better to eek out a countdown from my voice. This will be from November 25, 1989. The show runs 3 hours and 27 minutes and repeats at 5 PM (eastern) - The cue sheets are up for the show.
Thanks for your input. I am going to stick to my original idea of the top 100 of 1983 for a couple of reasons. First, the past two years I did a show each from the 1960s and 1970s era, so I wanted to do a show from the 1980s era to fill the void. Also checking back throughout the 2013 year I have never done a show from 1983 in my weekly countdowns. Next year I have 1979 in mind.
Here is the tentative schedule for December:
12/1/2013 -- 12/1/1979 12/8/2013 -- 12/8/1962 12/15/2013 -- 12/14/1985 12/22 & 25/2013 -- Rebroadcast of the top 50 Christmas songs (2012) 12/29/2013 & 1/1/2014 - THE TOP 100 OF 1983

A brand new countdown is in the wings for the first day of December 2013. The show will count down the top 40 songs from December 1, 1979. There are three extra Christmas songs that were 'originally' released in 1979. Also there are some twists in a few of the songs in the countdown. The show is a long one at 3 hours and 43 minutes. Cue sheets are up for show #111.

Pandy, for your Top 100 of 1983 show, will you be using the Cashbox charts?
