The first regular countdown of 2013 is for January 3, 1981 - Now, this will be an interesting show because there was no chart published for that week. So what I did was took the charts from December 27, 1980 and January 10, 1981 and get an overall medium of the placement of the 40 songs on the chart. It took an hour and a half to finalize all the positions and hope that it meets your satisfaction. The show will be repeated at around 4:28 p.m. and the cue sheet is up (see post #142). Pandy, you should've used this countdown for your January 3, 1981, show: www.rockonthenet.com/archive/1981/01-03.htmYou use the Billboard charts, right? I never got to listen to your show before.

I guessed correctly on 36,14,9,7,6,4 positions -- not bad. The next show (even though we are in February) will be from January 31, 1970. There are four extra songs that are below the top 40 and it runs at 3 hours and 12 minutes. and it will repeat around 5:04 p.m. Cue sheets are up at www.4shared.com/folder/1fH4ETTs/TOC_top_40_cue_sheets.html

Just listened to what happened. By the way, what year was that CD player that crudded out on you? Can't remember when I bought it (1995?) , but it served it's useful life. Found out the transformer for the unit went when I took it apart. I snagged a Harmon Kardon 5-disc CD player that was kicking around my junkpile, plugged it in and it works beautiful. Thanks for listening to the show.

The show runs for 3 hours and 10 minutes and repeats around 4:28 pm. Cue sheets are up for show #79. Thanks to all that listened to the show.
