Hi Scott, I'm listening right now, and XM is playing December 1, 1978 - not 1973 Mark

"AT40: The 70's" and "AT40: The 80's" are produced specifically and ONLY for over the air radio stations.
The shows that air on XM are for XM.
While they may at times air the same thing weekly, they are not always going to do so. One will not be in sync with the other. For some reason, this seems to be a cause for confusion lately, either that or I am misreading some of the posts.

I didn't realize that - I guess I just 'assumed' that what is listed on here is what is being played on Xm, as well as other radio stations.
Nonetheless, I'm still lovin' all of this! ;D

Anyone knows which year will be spotlighted this week on At40: The 70's?

I believe that the 70s program for the weekend of December 8/9 is from November (not December) 1975. Specifically, November 8, 1975. (Perhaps Scott can confirm this on Thursday.) The AT40 theme "Shuckatoom" was first played at the program's beginning with this show.

I thought maybe it would be the one show from Dec 1974 in which each of the four Beatles were on the countdown with a solo record at the same time.

With apologies for the delay this week...
Pete is right. This weekend's (12/8-9/07) edition of "AT40: The 70s" will feature a rebroadcast of the show from 11/8/75.

With confirmation needed by Scott, I believe the 70s program on terrestrial stations for the weekend of December 15 and 16 will be the show dated December 18, 1971. I'm not aware of the 80s program for this weekend.

For those of you who have sent me "nastygrams" about this weekend's 12-18-71 show, I did not insert all of those stereo cuts. Yes, I do realize the show was in mono at that time LOL. Thanks! Shannon
