Thanks jd...and with that I will say:
First Guess: 8/30/75 Second Guess: 8/26/72
PS: Good to know that we won't be hearing 8/28/71 for the second year in a row (it was on SXM last year).

I'd also guess 8/26/78, a rerun and with some historical significance (first Long Distance Dedication.) We're about due for 1975, so 8/30 also seems logical, though personally I'd prefer that they hold out for a few more weeks and play 9/20/75--my birth week, and one they've never played before. Of course, we're even more due for 1971, but as you say we just heard that last year (on satellite), and for next week 9/4/71 is more interesting chart-wise, with eight debuts and a #12 to #1 jump.

Oh God, no 1971 (again). They must really have something against Tony Clay's "What the World Needs Now is Love/Abraham, Martin and John." Don't know why ... but
I'll make my prediction now. I'd say it's going to be the Aug. 28, 1976 show, which has the story behind "Teddy Bear" by Red Sovine. Backup is Aug. 26, 1972.

Brian If that is the case, they would have to wait until 9/11/71 when that song falls out. If SXM has the same opinion, they may double up on that show.

Don't know why ... but Brian Well, that doesn't explain why Premiere ignored 1971 for three months before the Clay record debuted, in late July; the last time they played that year was in April (and SXM hasn't aired it since May). To put it in some perspective, the #1 album of that year, Carole King's "Tapestry", spun off a #1 single, "It's Too Late", which was on top for 5 weeks, and we did not get a single Premiere countdown this year with it anywhere therein (its last week on was 8/28). The two songs that preceded it at #1, the Rolling Stones' "Brown Sugar" and Honey Cone's "Want Ads" were also completely shut out.

1: It's not from 1971 (sorry) You have angered Briguy! Anyway, prediction for next weekend's show: August 30, 1975 (Backup prediction: August 27, 1977)

Prediction: August 28th, 1976. I sure hope so. I love the late summer of 76.

The cover of Oh Well wasn't all that bad, but I prefer the live Fleetwood Mac version from their 1980 live album the most. "Oh Well" without Peter Green intro & solo just doesn't make it!!! That would be the same Peter Green who had to be taken to a mental asylum once after pointing a shotgun at his accoutant because he did not want any of the many royalty checks being sent to him years after he left the Mac.

He also belonged to a religion that worshiped dogs. Doesn't have anything to do with the fact that he was a great guitarist!!!

I think this one is one of the fewest Long Distance Dedication with an ABBA track in AT40 history!!!!.
Take a chance on me.

Did Casey just goofed when he originally said Night moved up 11 notches, yet, after the song, he said they moved up 9 notches?

I heard Tom Clays tune twice on two different AT40 the 70's show previously, so I doubt they have anything against it.
