Well, crap. I grabbed the wrong audio for this weekends 1975 show. Ken: Maybe you can make it up to play the 5/3/1975 show supersized next weekend along with next weekend's AT40: The 70's possibly supersized entry.

Actually, it may make more sense if Ken replaced an AT40 special set for Memorial Day Weekend – assuming one is scheduled – with the 5/3/75 program. Plus, with this weekend’s show offering a May chart date, the music would still be timely and relevant. Premiere's ad clearance between 4 broadcast weeks might be the only stumbling block.

The 5/3/1975 AT40: The 70's show had a question letter to Casey about the last song besides the 6 week 1972 #1 "Alone Again (Naturally)" to spend more than 6 weeks at #1. It was Marvin Gaye's "I Heard It Through the Grapevine" in 1968. Believe it or not, the next year in 1976 would have the first #1 song since 1968 to spend more than 6 weeks at #1: "Tonight's the Night" by Rod Stewart. The 'quick turnarounds' of 1973-75: No song spent more that three weeks at #1 for the full two years between "My Love" in June 1973 (4 weeks) and "Love Will Keep Us Together" in June 1975 (4 weeks also). Furthermore, during the 4 1/2 years from May 1972 to November 1976 no single spent more than 4 consecutive weeks at #1. The three #1 hits with more than 4 total weeks at the top during that stretch -- "Alone Again (Naturally)" with 6 weeks, "Killing Me Softly With His Song" with 5 weeks, and "Silly Love Songs" with 5 weeks -- all had interrupted runs at #1.

I'd even settle for an airing after Delilah Peteski. Here in the Western time zones that's not too late. But I'm not sure if their contract w/Premiere requires a broadcast between 6am and midnight local time.

Any word on the "B" show? My guess for the B show: 5/14/1977.

Possible, but it was a Standalone just three weeks ago.

Possible, but it was a Standalone just three weeks ago. That doesn't really make a difference anymore. I'll go with '77 as the B this weekend too.
