Let's hope billyionaire makes right on these possible upcoming AT40: The 70's dates:
June 13-14, 2020 - June 11, 1977
June 20-21, 2020 - June 23, 1979 (4 hour - first hour optional - A show with B show option - Maybe June 21, 1975?)
June 27-28, 2020 - June 30, 1973
July 4-5, 2020 - The first ever Casey Kasem AT40: The 70's show from July 4, 1970 (A show with B show option TBD plus a bonus show dealing with the 50th. anniversary of AT40)
And let's hope the August 1-2, 2020 weekend slates in the August 2, 1975 AT40 show; August 15-16, 2020 or August 23-24, 2020 slates in the August 19, 1972 AT40 show (with B show option); and either November 24, 1979 or December 1, 1979 gets played this 2020 year with one of them waiting in the wings for 2021.

R.I.P. AT40 the 70's on WMGN Magic 98 Madison 20??-May 2020. WMGN started airing the show sometime in 2007. I discovered them in Oct of that year. I still had dial-up internet at the time (!) and theirs was one of the few streams that didn't buffer endlessly  I still had dial-up internet back then too. I didn't get wireless until January, 2009. |

I have a hard time believing that Magic 98 dropped AT40 because of "repeated shows". Radio stations generally do not adhere to what the listener likes or dislikes whether it drops a specific program or changes it's format completely. I will miss the rebroadcast of the previous 70's show on Saturday mornings especially if you were away or out of town the previous week. For me, this is what sucks the most about this. I know that we have an on-demand option, but I don't trust that thing. I appreciate those broadcasts over the years and I will miss them. Losing Magic 98 is a big blow to me also. I can't find anybody else that play's the "B" show. What is the "on-demand" option? I would appreciate some insight on this. TIA! Hoping they go with 6/18/77 instead of 6/11/77. 6/18/77 hasn't been played in a long time -- 2009 to be exact. Similar to 6/23/84, this is a show that was aired each of the first three years of the series, but hasn't been played since. That being said, it would appear that 6/11/77 has a really good chance of airing next week. |

Prediction for next week's show:
1st Guess - 6/18/77
2nd Guess - 6/17/72
So I gave away my prediction in my previous post, though it wouldn't be a surprise if it were 6/11/77. 1972 would appear to be the next best choice.
