Loved Casey's story about the KGB Chicken-The "WKRP In Cincinnati" turkey episode is a certifiable classic.

On the "Album Tracks Used As Option Extras" thread, Pete seems to be hinting that 11/22/1975 is next week. If so, it only aired once before (in 2010!), and the extras then were:
11/22/1975 2010 Hr 1: You Sexy Thing - Hot Chocolate 11/22/1975 2010 Hr 2: (Sittin' On) The Dock of the Bay - Otis Redding (original AT40 extra) 11/22/1975 2010 Hr 3: Love Hurts - Nazareth

Hi,Pete-You're referring to "I Yust Go Nuts At Christmas" by Yogi Yorgesson-Dr.Demento plays that delightful ditty every holiday season. And to what Casey said in the original 1973 Christmas show, in which he played the opening part of the record and then said: "You know, it starts out as a song, but then a little later it goes into a comedy monologue, which must have been pretty funny back in 1949 because it hit #5 on the charts. But it really doesn't make it today, so we'll "yust" move on to the next song in the all-time Christmas countdown". Premiere edited that out and the full record in. (They did cut down "Little Altar Boy", from what I'm hearing on WTOJ.) I don't recall ever asking and maybe I've forgotten if I did, but what was it about "I Yust Go Nuts at Christmas" that made Casey suggest "it really doesn't make it today" and thus skip the next song? Hindsight is 51 years ago, of course, but makes one wonder why ABC-Watermark didn't "yust" put in a new song at No. 40 and then move every other song up a notch until Yogi Yorgesson's spot in the countdown. My guess would be the lyrics about drinking and family dysfunction, coupled with the Yiddish pronunciation stereotype.

'Yogi Yorgesson' (Harry Stewart) wasn't doing a Yiddish stereotype, but rather a Scandinavian one: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harry_Stewart

While AT40 affiliates were originally airing the November 22, 1975 show, Casey was in the Watermark studios, wrapping up the recording session for 1975’s Top 100.

So, Billboard had already computed the list of the Top 100 of 1975 by Thanksgiving--Incredible. Thanks, Pete. Based on a late '75 studio schedule at Watermark. And as Casey noted during the Top 100 review, the tabulation originated using charts from November '74 to November '75.

While AT40 affiliates were originally airing the November 22, 1975 show, Casey was in the Watermark studios, wrapping up the recording session for 1975’s Top 100. Speaking of year end countdowns, both shows feature the songs that kicked off such shows. But the songs are in different situations. The 1975 show kicks off with "Country Boy You got your feet in LA" which is in its FIRST week on AT40 and kicks off not the top 100 of 1975 but 1976. While the 1982 show features "You Don't Want Me Anymore" which is in its LAST week in the countdown and kicks off the top 100 of 1982.

Interesting to note that three of the seven debut songs from 11/22/75 were headed for # 1:"Theme From Mahogany","I Write The Songs" & "Love Rollercoaster".
