Hearing that Leo Sayer "You Make me Feel Like Dancing" story took me to Wikipedia. There's no mention of that anecdote on the Wiki page for YMMFLD but there is a mention of Ray Parker Jr claiming *he* wrote the song but was denied credit for it. (Ironic, as 8 years later he would famously be accused of ripping off Huey Lewis' "I Want a New Drug" for "Ghostbusters".) Ray Parker Jr.'s group Raydio should have done their own version of the "You Make Me Feel Like Dancing" song.

Anybody know the difference in what was played of Rose Royce’s Car Wash this week and the single’s actual running time?

Premiere is doing a great job with rotation so far in 2024. Only years remaining for "A" or "B" shows are 1972 and 1975.

Length on show this week was about 2:30. It was clear by this time in 1977 that a four hour show was needed, as the songs were becoming longer in length, and many of the songs were being shortened to make room for the 3 hour slot.

What could be the B show with this? Either 2/15/1975 or 2/14/1976 or 2/17/1979?

"The Weight" was an 'oldie' played in the original show. "What Is Life" was two weeks away from its Hot 100 debut, and is from the week's #1 album. LaSalle's "Trapped..." is an odd choice, as it wouldn't chart for another six months.

Something else will probably replace it this time.

What could be the B show with this? Either 2/15/1975 or 2/14/1976 or 2/17/1979? '75 needs to be an A show soon. 10-26-74 was played the weekend of October 21st which would be a four month gap since we've heard anything from that period of time. I'll say we have a flip/flop of the weekend of January 20th when '79 was the A and '71 was the B for this upcoming weekend.

The 1977 show I heard on WZON included a new credit, voiced by Larry Morgan, for Ken Martin for "supersizing" and removing the original edits. This despite the fact that to my knowledge WTOJ is the only station that actually airs Ken's supersized shows. (Does anyone else?)
I just noticed from my recordings that the intro on WTOJ had this week's show as February 2. 1974. It wasn't that show but the intro had it as that. Confused me for a second until "Shuckatoom" started.

"Big Shot" contains an offensive word that Premiere will likely delete.
