I wonder if January 14, 1978 is the first regular AT40: The 70's show for 2024 for the January 13-14, 2024 weekend as some hint (I think January 7, 1978 was guest hosted). This week's episodes will be part two of the 1978 and 1972 top hits of those years. Highly unlikely that we would get both years again the following week as another A/B choice.

Hopefully this year 1975 shows will become standalones again... there were times that some 1975 shows that aired in 2023 as A or B shows should have been all by itself (not counting the Christmas period from November-December where they become standalones) due to when they last aired compared to the other show as an A or B.
Now that I think of it, 1/11/1975 could a possibility for 1/13-1/14/2024... last time it aired was 2016 (and the only airing so far).

I'll go with 1/8/77 over 1/6/73 & 1/11/75 for next weekend. 1/8/77 was last aired by Premiere in 2012. The 1973 show last aired in 2015. 1/11/75 last aired in 2016.

There was even one week, in August, when 1975 was the B to a 1970 A, with nothing from later. (And this was just one week after 1975 was the A show, with a 1977 B.)

1/8/1977 has one of my favorite songs of the year at #1. And it knocked off Rod Stewart, who had a firm grip on the top for eight* weeks.
* - includes 12/25/1976 and 1/1/1977 charts, the latter being a frozen chart (Casey counted down the top 100 of 1976 on these weekends)

As expected, KLFM goes with The Top 80 songs Part 1, from 1972. And Part 2 for that year? Currently playing Part 2... but for 1978

As expected, KLFM goes with The Top 80 songs Part 1, from 1972. And Part 2 for that year? Currently playing Part 2... but for 1978 KXGL did the same thing. 1972 Part 1 last week and 1978 Part 2 this week. WSMG aired 1972 Part 2 after airing 1978 Part 1 last week.

After an odd 2-week absence, AT40 is back on KPPT The Otter -- they're running a 3-hr version of 1978 Part 2

are there any other stations running full 4 hours part 2 of 1978? I accidentally missed first hour of WPNC yesterday. And WPAC doesn't seem to be airing At40 70s, 1978 part 2 year-end.
UPDATE: Never mind, WPAC now airs 1978 part 2, but started 4:13pmish
part II notes: top 5 movies: #5 Heaven Can Wait #4 Every Witch Way But Loose #3 National Lamthingy's Animal House #2 Superman #1 Grease
24 foreign acts 2 parter..
#3 of 1977 highest gross film for 1977 Close Encounters of Third Kind
