This weekend on WTOJ: 1/6/1973 (A Show, per their Facebook) Premiere should run the perfectly-dated 1/13/73 instead. The three-chart version of that week just happens to be wrapping up on The Fox Oldies right now.

While I agree with you, I don't see a scenario when any Casey-hosted show the first weekend in January would line up, with the current structure Premiere has for the year-end shows. January is tough, either shows are really early (more for the 80s), or really late date-wise (more for the 70s).

WTOJ will have the mono2stereo version of 1/6/1973 AND it's SUPERSIZED. It's only 8:24 longer, but that counts!

It's just that the show is out of date by a week!

So the B show could be 1/14/1978. According to Facebook 1-14-78 is the B show. Has there ever been a bigger spread than the 1/6 "A" and 1/14 "B"?

According to Facebook 1-14-78 is the B show. Has there ever been a bigger spread than the 1/6 "A" and 1/14 "B"? Yes, in the 80s series, there's two instances where "A" and "B" show dates are 11 days apart, and a few more where they are 10 days apart. For the 70s, the winner goes to October 2014, where the pairing was 16 days apart (10/30/1971 "A", 10/14/1978 "B"). There's plenty of examples in both the 70s and 80s show listings that meet or exceed this weekend's spread.

Matt's Listing of the 70's shows has years to compare, going back to 2007. As OnWithTheCountdown also mentioned, there is the 80's thread as well, also by Matt.

Actually, I'm the one who posts the listings of the 1980s show. I was a little slack on it during the second half of 2023, due to various situations in my life, but I will try to keep it up to date.

Connecting last week's show to this week...
Some AT40 stations in December 1972 may have been pleased to see the final countdown appearance of Chuck Berry’s “My Ding A Ling”, which finished at #14 on the show’s Top 80 tabulation. And just when they thought it was safe to go back into the water, along comes another controversial single from Chuck Berry. “Reelin’ & Rockin’” debuted at #40 on January 6, 1973.

I remember hearing the complete version (with the dirtiest verses) on AT40 multiple times .
