WXXM Rewind 92.1 FM Madison, Wisconsin is now playing for this Saturday morning for AT40: The 70's the B show of 9/15/1979 starting with hour #2 (#32 - "Get it Right Next Time" by Gerry Rafferty - a man who refused to tour).
Later this afternoon I can catch via WVLI Kankakee the A show of AT40: The 70's of 9/20/1975.
More on 9/15/1979: I didn't know "Suspicions" by Eddie Rabbitt took 5 minutes for the song to be written! Long before A.I. made things faster.

Unfortunately for me, I will not be able to record this show due to an Internet service that all of a sudden decided to merge with a company called ucker (Cox). This is one of the very few stations this weekend that carry this show with decent sound quality.😡😡😡😡😡

Dead air on WPNC. Sounds like the station (carrier) is on--I can hear a low hum, but nothing is airing. Probable automation glitch.

True. I sent those to Toby on Saturday afternoon. They will be used in upcoming shows. They aired Fins but not as a tribute, instead it was Casey's intro cut and pasted from the 10/27 show.

More on 9/20/1975: I liked how that for the first OPTIONAL EXTRA with turning a story on what happened to "Deep Purple" singers Nino Tempo and April Stevens into an OPTIONAL EXTRA with the "Deep Purple" song. Even Larry Morgan added in after Casey's spiel about April Stevens passing away this year and Nino Tempo in the 1980's and 1990's doing cartoon voices (I remember Nino doing voices for a few Garfield animated TV specials in the 1980's).
Also for 9/20/1975: In a Casey story on KC of the Sunshine Band getting hospitalized briefly in 1974 Casey mentioned the first KC and the Sunshine Band song in the UK in 1974 was "Queen of Hearts" when the real title was "Queen of Clubs"! (In the USA, "Queen of Clubs" didn't crack the top 40 on Billboard's Hot 100 but made the top 40 of Billboard's Soul Singles chart).

And thanks for catching Casey's error on the KC song title--slipped by me. TK Records re-released "Queen Of Clubs" in the U.S. in early '76, as the follow-up to "That's the Way (I Like It)". It peaked at #66 in April. A 'miss' in between two #1s.

The only other KC and the Sunshine Band miss between 2 #1's happened between "Get Down Tonight" and "That's The Way (I Like It)" - "Shotgun Shuffle" made Billboard's Hot 100 but never made the top 40 reaches.

The story in question was of Jimmy Buffett and Glenn Frey wanting to get away from the trappings of fame and the outside world in general, and retreating to a remote island where they discovered people knew them and their music. No Larry Morgan parts, just a straight up replay of Casey’s story altered to remove any then-current chart references.
