I don't know if anyone listens to KWXY regularly, but their presentation of 1974 was a hot mess. Dumping out of the Skynyrd OE early in hour 1, going from the "Entertainer" OE into a non-countdown song, "Sad Eyes", then back to #2 "Seasons In The Sun", then halfway thru that song it goes to other programming.
Earlier today, the only OE KYTC played was "Dancing Machine".

WTOJ i only listened opt xtras for 1974, but I will hope to try other stations for 1974. i think i did listen 1974, around 2019. anyway the songs were good. I listened to KUGR fm for opt xtra 2 (1:58pmish), Dancing Machine, inspired by robots.

YES! First 1972 AT40 episode as an A show entry for the 2023 year! I bet the B show to go with April Fool's Day 1972 will be 4/3/1976.

The other closest B's are from 4/2/77 and 4/8/78, which were a standalone and a B in 2022, and 1979 was a B just last week.

Yes, 4/3/1976 could happen. History has shown Premiere has even selected the same "B" show in consecutive years at times. Can't rule it out.

Still, couldn't that happen? The other closest B's are from 4/2/77 and 4/8/78, which were a standalone and a B in 2022, and 1979 was a B just last week. This is one of those times when Premiere's insistence on playing a 1976-1979 show every week really paints them into a corner. 4/1/78 was a special, and 4/7/79 was guest-hosted. Every other show from the first two weeks of April during those years has been played since 2020.
We know that Premiere will occasionally play a show from an adjacent weekend in a different month. When 4/3/76 was the "B" the first weekend of April 2021, the "A" was 3/30/74. I'm therefore going to take a guess that this week's "B" will be 3/27/76, which was last played in 2019 as a solo "A."
