I enjoyed that song—it had an early- spring vibe and went well with the mild Northeast March of 1979, which had followed our third severe winter in a row.

For anyone who needs a 1974 "fix" Joe Cantello has a 3-23-74 show in General Music Thread, Cashbox Countdown, Page 29.

Could 3/29/1975 also be an A show contender? 3/29/1975 was an A show in 2020. So it at least theoretically could be a contender, as Premiere's policy is usually not to repeat as A's or standalones shows that were aired as such in the past two years. But there are several countdowns last featured longer ago that could be and probably are more likely to be played.

Ill go WVWP 3pm Mar 12, 1977, 11 English acts Say You'll Stay Until Tomorrow, former #1 country I even heard Casey mention for the #37 debut of "Disco Lucy" that Lucille Ball is the longest prime time TV star with consecutive TV series from 1951 to 1974 ("I Love Lucy", "The Lucy Show", and "Here's Lucy"; though in 1986 Lucille Ball attempted a comeback with "Life With Lucy" but it only lasted several weeks). Casey even did a history on the R&B/Soul chart - It started in 1942 as the Harlem and Race chart. At the 1977 time it was the Soul Singles chart. But there's more post 1977...in 1982 it became the Black Singles chart and in 1990 it became the R&B Singles chart.

In 1983,"Weird Al" Yankovic had his first charted single with his homage to "I Love Lucy"-It was titled "Ricky" which was a parody of Toni Basil's 1982 # 1 hit "Mickey"-Unfortunately,"Ricky" stalled at # 63.
