1974 is now the year longest in 2023 without play.

I guess we will have to hope for 4/1/1972 or 4/8/1972 in April 2023.

It was actually 3/19/77 that was played in 2016, not 3/12/77.

3/19/1977 was played in two consecutive years? I have a recording of 3/19/1977 from 2015 off of Oldies 1150 CKOC.

3/12/77 will be Supersized on WTOJ! I presume the only change made will be lengthening some songs? An interesting experiment for this particular show would be to play it according to the final, published Billboard chart, with three songs in different positions (and thus with altered intros) and without Casey’s retroactive correction.

Left those as they were.

"What You Won't Do For Love" was covered by Go West in 1993.

I enjoyed almost every song on the 1978 countdown— everything but “Hot Legs,” a proto hair metal number. I was running late from my fish fry last Friday, so I missed the first 9 songs, tuning in during “Poor Poor Pitiful Me.” However, I caught those songs on the Aruba station yesterday evening on my way home from errands. Of course, I ran into some loud dogs during “ It’s You That I Need” and “ We’ll Never Have to Say Goodbye Again.” I was determined to hear those romantic tunes, even though I am getting over a woman named Sarah. I also enjoyed Lou Rawls’ “ Lady Love,” ELO’s “ Sweet Talking Woman,” and Jackson Browne’s “Runnin’ On Empty” and much more. The songs had an early/ spring feel, which was refreshing because in upstate New York we were emerging from one of the most severe winters I can recall.
