After a three-month wait,we finally get a 1974 show-Awesome! A song in the top 10, by accident, mentions how many years old it is. The number is valid only for this year. LOL. The song happens to be in its peak position on 8/24/74.

8/18/1979 is also the last show to feature jingles in mono. I remember a while back, vto66 loves this set. The new stereo jingles debuted the following week (8/25), and ran through 4/17/1982.

"Tell Me Something Good" by Rufus was on the countdown from 8/24/74-Chaka Khan's voice is a force to be reckoned with-Stevie Wonder wrote "Tell Me Something Good"-Not sure if he included it on one of his albums.

Yes, as long as there isn't a school board meeting or a debate between dog catcher candidates! Hopefully they have figured out how/when to turn off the top of the hour news that they recently added to the feed. But I must say that while some here don't like their stream, I find it to be one of the most reliable of any on the station list. I also love that they keep their commercial breaks to a consistent two minutes and even go commercial free when broadcasting the first hour of a four hour show. Count me as a Thursday night Squirrel fan as well!

Does this station normally do AT 40 - 70s - on Thursday evenings at 7 pm? No. WSMG had been replaying Saturday's 80s show. The station has been airing shows at random since the end of June on Thursdays.
