After a three-month wait,we finally get a 1974 show-Awesome! I wonder if we'll get a Lamont Dozier tribute? Although it fell out of the 40, "Fish Ain't Bitin" could be the selection if done by Premiere.

I don't think WIHG has aired a B show since June. The station was down last week. Their website is inactive. Station aired 1972 a month ago. Prior to that, The Hog had only gone with the early 70s option once (last August) in over 2 years.

WPNC now airs 1978. Larry Morgan updated his intro and outro opt xtra 1 for Olivia Newton John passing, as Summer Nights originally was opt xtra 1 I would tune in WVWP 1972.. for only opt xtras...., and maybe last hour Are you sure the intro and outro were updated? KLFM. ran the original intro, saying that Summer Nights was part of the Grease Medley that charted in 2000.

One thing about this weekend AT40: The 70's B show of 8/12/1978 show: To tie in with "Mr. Blue Sky" by ELO (Electric Light Orchestra - Also, "Mr. Blue Sky" one of Shadoe Stevens' favorite songs since he used it as a special Long Distance Dedication for someone in a January 1989 AT40 show), Casey mentioned that ELO had the most expensive billboard sign display on Hollywood, California's Sunset Strip back in circa 1977-1978 - anyone remember that ELO billboard? trekkielo features the ELO billboard in a post from last week in this thread (4th post down): at40fg.proboards.com/thread/4359/favorite-songs-weekends-70s-shows?page=138

Anything regarding ELO, surely isn't missed... trekkielo has got it all covered. 🙂 Thanks 80sat40fan! OnWithTheCountdown, you got that right! at40fg.proboards.com/post/199624/threadThere's also this video clip of famous album cover designer John "Kosh" about where ideas for both A New World Record & Out of the Blue were from, ironically, the latter was when he and his son played frisbee after he'd put Electric Light Orchestra's Wurlitzer Jukebox logo on one, so that's how ELO's spaceship came about! PS-My Mom told me in her womb that I'd love music.

I can't be the only one who sees a great similarity between ELO's 'spaceship' and the concurrently-popular Milton-Bradley "Simon" hand-held electronic game? "Simon" went on the market in 1978. images.app.goo.gl/43wKwqPukr4bLemh8

WPAC will air the 4-hour version of 8/18/79. But will they update their on-demand player afterward? It still has the last 1979 show up.
