Fondly remember watching "Jonny Quest" as a youngster-By the way,the actor who voiced him,Tim Matheson, went on to play fraternity brother Eric Stratton alias Otter in the hit 1978 movie "Animal House". ...and "Jonny Quest" was the inspiration for the clever and hilarious Cartoon Network-Adult Swim cartoon "Venture Bros.". One of the best 'adult cartoons' ever, IMO. A washed-up adult Jonny Quest-like character, called 'Action Jonny', was a recurring character in the second season, and had a guest appearance in a season 4 episode. A total of 81 episodes comprising seven seasons of the show were aired between 2004 and 2018 on the late night Adult Swim block on Cartoon Network. Supposedly a concluding episode is in production and will be shown on HBO Max. "Jonny Quest" would be the forerunner of other Hanna-Barbera adventure cartoons aired Saturday mornings in the late 1960's like "Space Ghost", "Samson and Goliath", and "Herculoids" as well as Hanna-Barbera getting the cartoon rights to DC Comics superheroes for its 1970's-1980's "Super Friends" cartoon series (A cartoon where the famous Casey Kasem voiced Robin the Boy Wonder, of course!)

^Speaking of filler songs on KLFM, it might be a good idea to break away from "My Eyes Adored You", "Misty", "How Sweet It Is" & "Yesterday Once More". At least it seems this is all the filler songs the station has been playing during the broadcasts lately. Last week they played "Close To You" as an 'time filler extra'. Which was the number one song on that show, so we got to hear it twice.

That was an ROFL episode. Who knew that Dr. Quest and Race Bannon would be the first gay couple on TV?

KLFM does a good job giving us the countdown, but I have heard the same Neil Sedaka song from 1975--the opposite time of the year, no less--for the fourth week in a row. And we will likely be hearing the Three Degrees song from late 1974 as well. If they want to air a song from that era, why not Olivia's "Have You Never Been Mellow?"
The edit on "Reminiscing" had the feel of a Premiere one. Yeah, this was only 8 weeks before the switch to four-hour shows.
I think the Gene Cotton/Kim Carnes song would have been a much bigger hit in 1980--it has that very-early-'80s feel, probably because of Carnes' hit duet with Kenny Rogers, "Don't Fall in Love with a Dreamer." I enjoyed the Cotton & Carnes duet a lot more just now than I did 44 years ago.

Yes, it was quite noticeable. ...and we just got another jarring edit on "Use ta Be My Girl". Yes, the need to expand the show was obvious.

We are up to No. 14, the somber Atlanta Rhythm Section hit. As you all know, we are not into the Frozen 14--or I should say, the 14 that would become frozen a week later. It, along with the shenanigans of the 1982 charts, is a monument to Bill Wardlow's excesses. LOL.

Mental note: Always check the WPAC player before the weekend is over to see if it was updated with that weekend's show. I got up unusually early (for a Saturday morning, anyway) so I could listen to last week's 1976 show before it was taken off, only to discover that the 1979 show from two weeks ago is still on the player. Oh well, we heard 1976 not too long ago, so it's all good.

WXXM Rewind 92.1 FM Madison, Wisconsin is now airing the 8/12/1978 B show of AT40: The 70's this Saturday morning right now!
Later on I can catch 8/12/1972 A show of AT40: The 70's via WVLI Kankakee, Illinois.

WPNC now airs 1978. Larry Morgan updated his intro and outro opt xtra 1 for Olivia Newton John passing, as Summer Nights originally was opt xtra 1
I would tune in WVWP 1972.. for only opt xtras...., and maybe last hour

Chalk another up to wonderful quality control at radio...WXXM played the Aerosmith extra and then went into regular programming, blowing off the top 2 songs.

But I do find it strange you can't discuss trading shows on this board or even mention off the grid stations airing AT40, but you could download it off of their player?? Maybe they were told to stop?

Listending to 1972 on WHEO, and the first and second hour optional extras (introduced by repurposed Casey clips) were played before the final segments of each hour, not after the end of the hours as usual. Did this happen to anyone else, or is it just a one-station thing?
