Interesting story about "Yesterday"-It was the only song that featured a solitary Beatle-That was Paul Mc Cartney who accompanied himself on acoustic guitar-Producer George Martin came up with the idea of adding a string section-"Yesterday" is the most recorded song of all time-Performers as diverse as Elvis Presley & Ray Charles have covered it-There was an amusing parody of "Yesterday" that Paul Mc Cartney performed on "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon" a few years ago-It was called "Scrambled Eggs"-That clip can be found on You Tube.

I think the next 1976 Show will be NOVEMBER 20TH 1976 not been played for a while No it hasn't...in fact it's one of those shows in the 70's series that was first aired in 2007, yet hasn't been touched since. Given how many of those Premiere has dusted off this year, the odds would figure to be pretty good that 11/20/76 is the show for the third weekend in November. Given how long of a drought there is with 1976, it wouldn't surprise me to see 10/30/76 aired next weekend and 11/20/76 three weeks later. The have to play at least a couple 1976 shows in the second half of the year don't they?

Same as with 10/20/84, 10/28/78's only airing so far was in 2015. Different weekend than '84 however--10/28/78 was played on Halloween weekend in 2015 (two weeks after 10/20/84). 10/24/70 also has only had one previous spin (2012) -- making this the second ever airing for all three of this weekend's shows.

KKLZ will likely go with the three-hour version of 10/28/78 on Sunday (10/24).

LOLed this afternoon while listening to hour one of the '70 show on WSQL: Casey stated that Linda Ronstadt 'could not afford shoes' while growing up. No. Trust me, the Ronstadt family was definitely NOT poverty-stricken, A well-established local merchant family with Tucson roots going back well into the 19th Century. Paternal great-grandfather was a German immigrant who established a store here and did quite well for himself, while her maternal ancestors were from Sonora and again were NOT 'po' folks'. Like many Tucson kids growing up here in the 1940s and '50s, she went barefoot by choice.

Prediction for next week's show:11/2/74. 11/2/1974 was last played last year, I think. Let's hope for 10/30/1976 or 10/29/1977.

Prediction for next week's show:11/2/74. 11/2/1974 was last played last year, I think. Let's hope for 10/30/1976 or 10/29/1977. Yes, it was. For the next few weeks we can probably rule out that, 11/11/72, 11/11/78, and 11/13/76 as they were all aired in 2019-20. Probably also 10/30/71 (a B in 2019) and 10/22/77 (B last year, and would probably have been this weekend if they were going to air it at all). The two you cite should be the most obvious contenders. 10/30/76 was last played in 2012 and 1976 hasn't been an A since June. 10/29/77 was aired in 2007, 08, and 09 and never since, even as a B.

And for the first weekend of November could be 11/6/1976 or 11/5/1977 depending on which of these 2 years gets the Halloween weekend (with the start of Christmas B shows that weekend as well?). Maybe 1976 could be the B show year ender if the 1970 year ender or the 1973 year ender (supersized to 80 instead of 40) is the A show year end entry for the Christmas weekend 2021/New Years weekend 2022?
