List the songs that annoy you most. Here's the twist, list 2 per decade (60's to 90's) and try to make them YOUR annoyances, not necessarily songs the majority of people are annoyed by, ones that most people actually seem to enjoy (for whatever reason)
I'll start:
60's: In The Year 2525 by Zager & Evans Barbara Ann (Beach Boys Version)
70's: Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd American Pie by Don McLean
80's: Pour Some Sugar On Me by Def Leppard Walk This Way by Run DMC & Aerosmith
90's: Whats Up by 4 Non Blondes I'll Be Missing You by Puff Daddy

Kahuna, I agree with your stuff (forgot Honey!) except that your 80's stuff is astonishing!
Didn't say to list 00's to today because I only said two! Couldn't get mine down to less than two.... HUNDRED!

Ok, it has to be a top 10 hit. It seems kid of silly to put down some song that only made it to #90 on a list like this.
60s: La La La (If I Had You).....Bobby Sherman Mashed Potato Time....Dee Dee Sharp 70s: Before the Next Teardrop Falls....Freddie Fender Sweet and Innocent.....Donny Osmond 80s: Don't Worry Be happy.....Bobby McFerrrin Girl I'm gonna Miss You.....Milli Vanilli 90s: I'll be Missing You....Puff Daddy & Faith Evans No Diggity.....Blackstreet

The songs that annoy me the MOST:
1960's: "Theme from a Summer's Place by Percy Faith (#1 on the day I was born, couldn't I've been born a bit later and have "Running Bear" or a bit earlier and have "Teen Angel" as #1 on the day I was born?) and "Dominique" by the Singing Nun (If you take a lot of French Language courses, you'll hear this all the time and I minored in it as an undergraduate)
1970s: "Cat's In The Cradle by Harry Chapin (I like Harry's other songs but the words in this one drives me NUTS). "Lonely Boy" by Andrew Gold (I do like "Thank You For Being A Friend" but "Lonely Boy, like "Cat's" drives me NUTS)
1980s: "Two of Hearts" by Stacy Q (Sounds like a machine gun pounding at my brain) and "Talk it Over" by Grayson Hugh (his voice just doesn't sound right to me)
1990s: "Macarena" by Los Del Rio (Overplayed by a factor of 1000 in 1996--everytime you'd turn the radio on, you'd hear this song), "She's All I Ever Had" by Ricky Martin (the sappiest song of the 1990s, Ricky should have never released this one)
2000-2009: Any song by Lady Gaga, the cast of Glee or anyone else who had not charted before 2002. Some of you younger members will disagree, but, in my opinion, there has been no new talent that is any good that has first charted after 2002.

1970s - Sundown - and I like his other songs
and Rock And Roll Heaven or as I call it the Jim Jim Jimi Song
and Higher And Higher sorry I just couldn't leave it out
1980s - At This Moment pretty much ruined every day on the radio for me for about four months what a POS
Stuck With You - more than any of their songs there was just something about this group that made me want to punch them all in the face see domestic bliss note below
1990s - any two of that screechng cow Mariah's songs and oh, thanks for inspiring the generation that has ruined the National Anthem and American Idol I want the last 20 years of my life back please
Special Category those calculated songs about domestic bliss, like Saturday Morning Confusion and that Phil Vassar song Just Another Day In Paradise oh by the way he then got a divorce so much for paradise
Okay I feel better now thanks
Sorry I almost forgot Bette Davis Eyes even now after 30 years I keep waiting for Allen Funt or Dick Clark to come out and tell us we've all been Punk'd.

And maybe Chevy Chase for ruining Paul Simon's good song. If you're going to ruin a great song, at least do it with cowbell.

"Running Bear" and "Teen Angel" both preceded "Theme From 'A Summer Place'" at #1. Percy Faith's 9 week run at the top was ended by Elvis with "Stuck On You".

1970s:
"Let's Stay Together" - Al Green (his voice in the secular songs department really kill me especially this one. Now you can understand why I prefer Tina Turner's 1984 version)
"One Of These Nights" - Eagles - Even as a toddler I found this song to be quite screeching and appalling especially the guitar intro. I remember when we first moved to England back in 1986 when my dad was taking me to school this came on the radio and I just wanted to cover my ears and dare to change the station!
1980s:
"Let Me Be Your Angel" - Stacy Lattisaw Man, this record gets on my ever-lovin nerves for it's super sappy in a kiddish little girl's voice that belonged on the Disney channel.
"Mr. Roboto" - Styx This is the worst of them of all (for me). I absoluetly detest it and so repulsive with the robotic chants that sound downright senseless to me.
1990s:
"Never Ever" - All Saints Absolutely annoying especially the intro, please bring out the violins why don't ya.
"All My Life" - KC & Jo Jo The Kings of Sappy I tell ya. You know, they were cool way back in the early 1990s with Jodeci, but they just went too far.
