I am sure there is a good reason it is listed this way and been mentioned already. But in my opinion that if a listing says that it "starts 1 hour early", it should be listed at the earlier time. If I am going through the listings, I am just looking at the 1st time and might missed the altered time because it is always earlier. This has happened to me multiple times.
On the other hand maybe I should just stop trying to use lists to find live streams. I should just find reliable streams and just record them for later listening.

Either they didn't generate enough ad revenue or ratings (or both) to justify a four-hour show.

klKLCH's homepage says Check out Casey Kasem's original American Top 40 Countdowns every weekend on Classic Hits 94.7! We travel back to the 80s every Saturday morning at 6 and head to the 70s Sunday mornings at 6. This week we travel back to 1979 and 1986! your current listing is Saturday nights 7pm (I think) IF sports isn't happening. It's possible someone has already posted this. I'm juggling too many windows to go to the last page, so I used quick reply. For anyone still looking for September 19 1970 - you can see this isn't the place to look :-( (don't try CKOC either) Thanks for the update - I 'think' this station has changed their times for AT 40 several times in the past few years, and keeps requiring updates. Are there any listeners of this station that can confirm the show is NOT played on Saturday evenings anymore? (before I remove that particular time listing - thanks!) p.s. Now I know why I couldn't find this station on the list - you had it as KLCH, when it's actually KCLH.........

Ok - I'll put 'might" before "play 4 hour edition" FYI, WJER did not play AT 40 - 70s - 4 Hour Edition for September 15th, 1979, they started playing hour 2 with #32 at 5 PM local time, 2 PM Pacific after their Ohio State football coverage, also 3/4 Premiere Optional Extras were on instead of only 1, so that station should be updated as well! Thank you for that update - I added your comment.

This station doesn't seem to have a working web stream anymore. The first link just says the stream doesn't work & the second is page not found. I couldn't find a listen live on their website either Sunday 6 am - 9 am WYNZ - Big Hits Y100.9 - The Biggest Hits Of All Time - Portland ME 100.9 FM den-a.plr.liquidcompass.net/playe....d=WYNZFM&uid=70Thanks to upland1425 for the following information: Please add the following alternative link (for winamp / iTunes) to the stream of WYNZ-FM. (The same will apply to other stations using the LiquidCompass LC Pro Flash Player) WYNZ-FM (Sundays at 6 am) edgev1.den.echo.liquidcompass.net/WYNZFMAACPlays Optional Extras (NOTE: This station will occassionally broadcast AT 40 - 80s - instead of AT 40 - 70s - check website weekly) You're right! I guess we'll have to dig around to find the links for this station - unless they dropped online streaming. If anyone knows the online stream for this station, could you please post it on this thread - thanks a lot!

WELK aired the 4-hour 1979 show this Sunday morning starting at 7:00 AM. They played all the optional extras. Didn't see this one on your updated list. Thanks for that update! For some reason, I thought this particular station was already on the list, but I don't see it - so I will definitely add it! I'm surprised this station doesn't mention anything about AT 40 on it's website (unless I overlooked it). Question - is 7 am the "normal" start time for the 70s show, or did they start it one hour early to account for the 4 hour show? UPDATED SEPT 19 2012 (New station added to list) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Sunday 7 am - 10 am WELK - Classic Top 40 - Elkins WV 94.7 FM den-a.plr.liquidcompass.net/standard_plr/audio_player.php?id=WELKFM&playerType=silverlightPlays Optional Extras[glow=red,2,300]Plays AT 40 - 70s - 4 Hour Edition[/glow] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

WJDX played 1979 but don't know they played the first hour. It ended around 10:05 AM EDT which means the starting time was 7:00 AM EDT for a 3 hours show NOT 10:00 AM for starting time. Thanks for the heads up! Do you think this one a one time thing (Saints football), or is this the new start time? I always like to confirm start times before I change them.

I would say "not on a consistent basis" when it comes to playing extras on WODC; they didn't play a single extra on this week's show. Thank you for the update - it was duly noted.

Pizzzzza, KLIO listed 1970 as the week it was playing, but if you follow the link on page 1 here, or on the station's website, you will end up on WPLJ. You can select another format or metro area, but if you choose Wichita Falls, KLIO is not among those listed. You might want to test that one more time before removing the link from page 1. maybe you will have better luck or know some secret I couldn't figure out between myself and google. Maybe it was just at the time I checked... thanks Pam - I just double-checked the links - seem to be working ok today.

Another "not on a consistent basis" stations with respect to extras is WHNN. In the "1970/1979 Is there a better way" thread trekkielo noted they dropped the last two. They have been reported elsewhere to have overbooked ad breaks, so this could be a side effect thereof. Thanks for the update - it was duly noted.

But I think it would be far more confusing and more a headache (for me anyway), to have to change the start time on a week-to-week basis, every time a station played the 1979 AT 40 versions. I would just say to double check any stations that you are aware that play the 4 hour version, and then check in on it one hour earlier than it's normal scheduled time to play (when it plays the 4 hour version)

Interesting that Watkins Glen, NY is mentioned in this weekend's show for 9/22/73. Pizzzzza, note: according to their website, WGMM, 98.7, Corning, NY (which covers Watkins Glen with a weak signal) carries AT40 The 70s and 80s. Website address is www.987gemfm.com. The site says the 70s airs Saturdays from 11AM to 7PM, ET and Sundays from 4PM to 7PM. The 80s version runs Sundays from 7PM to 11PM. These seem like odd program lengths, but the website has listed these times for the past two years. Unfortunately there is no stream to confirm these airings. Anyone in that area that can give Pizzzzza a 'yell?'
