KABG-FM started the 1974 countdown right on time this evening (8PM EDT), so the time change last week undoubtedly caused that glitch. Doncha just love computers? . No the problem is that whoever is in charge at that station was asleep at the switch as you should have not have a glitch some 12 to 18 hours after the computer should switch the time automatically, honestly was anybody affiliated with that station actually listening beforehand or at the station that day to monitor the situation to make sure that the programming before Casey was on time? It's time that these people take some pride in their work.

Good news for my fellow central New Yorkers; AT40 The 70s has returned to 92.1 WSEN Baldwinsville/Syracuse. Air time is 7am on Saturday. This comes several months after they swapped 70s for 80s. (AT40 80s still airs Sundays 8am.) Sorry...but they are a non-streamer. They do promote streaming for some special programming but when I clicked the banner I heard their sister talk station.

A big thanks 40fan! I'll "re-add" them to the 70s list. (I wonder why they went back?)

Hopefully so because it is not yet 2AM in Sydney when the show is supposed to start at local time. Noon EDT will be 2AM in Sydney.

Tuesday (Commences Sunday, January 22nd (2012) 1 pm - 4 pm EST (REPEAT broadcast) (Local Perth Time - Wednesday from 2 am -5 am) Show FIRST AIRS Sunday 3 am - 6 am EST (Local Perth Time - Sunday from 4 pm - 7 pm) 6iX - Forever Classic - 1080 AM - 105.7 FM -Perth AUSTRALIA www.6ix.com.au/streaming/stream.htm (not a bad one either! 160 kbps, 48 kHz, Stereo) Optional Extras: Not sure on it but as 6iX is one of 2CA Canberra's network of stations who also carry AT40 The 70's, they don't play them, so probably safe to assume 6iX won't either. All times are AWST (Australian Western Standard Time), which is GMT + 8 hours. Also, Western Australia does not have Daylight Saving. A BIG THANKS to FRANKSTER for all of this information! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Based on the show starting at 2AM local time in Perth it would start at 2PM EDT. It is currently after just after midnight in Perth. Edit: Corrected EDT time from 3PM to 2PM

I just tuned in today and the former WMVA 105.3 is playing contemporary hits. I kinda doubt that AT 40 the 70's will be on tomorrow morning at 8am.

WVMA's flip to top 40 makes plenty of sense; they were getting clobbered in the market by another Classic Hits station, and the top 40 format has enjoyed a huge resurgence in the past 3 years since CBS launched 97.1 AMP Radio (KAMP-FM) to take on format behemoth KIIS-FM here in LA, with spectacular results.
Toss in newly-launched top 40 stations in SF & NYC for starters, as well as a dozen or so other markets, and the format is resurging just like it did in the early 1980s with KIIS & Rick Dees, as well as Z100/NYC behind Scott Shannon, who'd come up from Tampa a year earlier.
