Thanks for the replacement link for CKDK - I updated the link on the station's information. Also, changed the start time from 8 am to 9 am for CKDK. I think that CKDK may have dropped the show. It is not airing right now, and the link above is no longer available... On the CKDK 103.9 website, in the drop down under music, Casey's name is gone, so I'm assuming they are not playing the countdowns anymore |

AT 40 RETURNS TO HALIFAX ON CHNS THIS WEEKEND! specifically 89.9 The Wave.... check the times on their website: (all times atlantic-eastern+1 hour) www.899thewave.fm/a very nice block on sunday night with both 70s and 80s shows back to back...and 2 runs of each show each weekend. they stream...quality isn't great right now, but i've heard they are working on it! snarfdude quoted this on AT40 - 70s Stations List: "Don't count out Halifax yet. In a brilliant move by a competing broadcaster, the old HAL FM 89.9 FM, calls are CHNS (which I used to work with many years ago) flipped in less then a week to a format comparable to CKUL, called "the wave" A lot of former listeners are making the switch and asking for AT 40. I'm told on good authority that it WILL be back...not sure when though. The station runs a 32kbps stream, so quality isn't too great. Website is: 899thewave.fm/" Should also apply to the 80s as well. I'll know (and everyone else) when this station will carry AT40. |

When CHNS was HAL FM I got House of Hair Fridays 8-11 PM ET. Now HOH Saturdays 9 PM -12 MID ET on WRKI.
i wonder if the AT40 shows will play all OE'S for all airings.

"OE's"? they are running the extras I caught the 6 am run on the 70s this morning. I can confirm that HOH will not be back on CHNS. When CHNS was HAL FM I got House of Hair Fridays 8-11 PM ET. just listening to the all80s broadcast(playing the September 21st 1985 show at the moment),no commercials so they air their own extras as well as the premiere ones |

Came across Tune In's station listing for the 80s. It's ridiculously out-of-date, with several stations listed that have long since dropped the show...but it appears that there is one on there that's not on our listing. I emailed CKDK since its near where I live just to inquire about the show. Here's the response I got from Leigh Robert the program director.
"Thanks for your inquiry about American Top 40 with Casey Kasem. We’ve decided to stop airing the show for a couple of reasons: It’s an expensive American show to air and we didn’t see the listenership we were hoping for in the 9am to noon time slot. Thank you for letting us know that you enjoyed the show... I hope you’ll keep listening for our local MORE Greatest Hits Weekends in it’s place."
