Longtime, yet somewhat erratic Casey affiliate WNIC out of Detroit has flipped formats to "100.3 Fresh FM." I assume this means Casey is through on WNIC.
They had briefly dropped AT40: The 80s last fall only to bring it back. However, last night, the first Sunday after the Christmas hiatus, and the last night of the old format, Casey did not air, according to yes.com

Your probably right BrettVW. WNIC just had boring regular music on Sunday. They hired the Ryan Seacrest of Detroit for their morning show. I'm purposely left his name off so he doesn't get a free plug. That was the 1st hint Casey was gone from WNIC. The 3 week hitaus from late August / Early September was the other clue.
If would have been awkward for them to air the 8 hour top 100 of 1985 by not airing hours one and five.

For those who have iPods, I've been using mine with TuneIn radio to listen to the 40. I'm sure there are others that will work, too. Wunder Radio looks great, if you want to pay $5+. TuneIn also allows you to record on a schedule. I made a list from the current listing here of the stations TuneIn can get, plus their bitrate:

I'm listening to the stream for this from last night. It is for the second half of the top 100. That makes this the first airing of the week. I don't know if you want to move it to the top or not. There is no talk from the local DJs during the show, and no commercials. I'm through 1:40 and they are to Billy Ocean's Loverboy, #28. They do play songs that aren't a part of the 40 or are extras in between, too. The sound quality tonight is terrible. It's like they don't have their streaming equipment on sight, so they are broadcasting it across town, and it's not tuned in just right. I've listened at other times and never noticed it. Dont know if it is only my case, but my recording of last night show on The Coast was terrible. Some parts so distorsed, stereo coming and going.
For example the parts with the tracks You´re the spiration, We belong, The wild boys, Neutron Dance were almost inaudible. If somebody was playing with the controls in the sound table.
I have to say that I record directly the stream via Tapin Radio and I dont know if that has been the cause. Normaly I use to record the show on The Coast my reciva wifi radio and make a copy of the show on minidisc, but that system was busy last night with KOLA FM.
The Coast is the 1st station having the show and despite of last night drama, it is one of my favourite, when sister station Channel 4 FM gives Ryan´s AT40 2 hours later, the same day.

Has anybody had cuts of The Coast 103.2 FM stream tonight when AT40 The 80´s show?.
One of the cuts has been before Eye of the tiger extra track . And my minidisc recorder says there are 2 cuts to come.
I have had at least 3 cuts during the show and I dont know if it is a matter of my broadband ascess or it is their fault, because I was recording at the same time the feed of its sister stations , Channel 4 FM, and there was no a single cut instead.

I decided to record the station tonight from 11 pm - 3 am, and just let it record throughout the night - unfortunately, the stream ended around 2 am (EST) - I listened to what was recorded, and for the most part, the recording sounded fine. |

Thanks, it was my broadband access . It has been doing strange things and I hope this weekend everything it is going to be OK. The show was OK from number 29. This time it sounds great.
I prefer the shows with the official extras. Maybe it is a nonsense, but all the extras that adds The Coast 103.2 FM are a little bit messy with the official content of the show and makes it a little bit different. I have the habit of listening to when the show was on AFRTS Rota, with the news and public service advs.
